XMR Means Private, decentralized cryptocurrency

NFT marketplace Blur has announced it will shut down the blur.io frontend on November 12, 2026. The closure affects the main interface that professional NFT traders have used for bidding, listing, portfolio management, and liquidity. Significantly, the underlying marketplace protocol will remain operational on-chain.

The BLUR token will continue to control its fee switch, the governance mechanism that determines whether the protocol charges fees and where that revenue goes. In addition, the announcement sent the BLUR token price down over 29% immediately after it was made.

What Blend Borrowers Need to Do Right Now?

The more urgent situation is for users of Blend, Blur’s NFT lending protocol. Blend will stop matching new loans on November 12, the same date the frontend closes. Existing borrowers have a clear deadline: repay your loans before November 12 or allow them to default.

Moreover, loans that are not repaid by the deadline are at risk of liquidation. After November 12, Blur will provide a dedicated frontend tool, but that tool will only support asset withdrawals, not loan management or new activity.

There is no window after the deadline to settle loans through the platform. Blur’s team has warned users to be cautious of impersonators and fraudulent announcements circulating around this news.

What Traders Lose and What Remains?

For the professional NFT traders that Blur built its platform around. blur.io was designed for high-volume activity, collection-wide bids, and portfolio-level tools. The trading rewards that attracted serious market participants competing for NFT liquidity across Ethereum collections.

That access point is gone after November 12. Trading on the Blur protocol will still be technically possible by interacting directly with the contracts or through third-party interfaces. Also, the official, purpose-built interface t

Stacks' STX, a Bitcoin layer-2 token, has surged by 50% in four weeks. While major cryptocurrencies remain choppy, $STX, the native token of the Bitcoin layer-2 project Stacks, is rallying. The cryptocurrency has surged nearly 10% in 24 hours, 14% over the past week and more than 50% in four weeks, outperforming bitcoin $BTC$83,696.96, ether ETH$2,499.57, $XRP ($XRP) and other cryptocurrencies.

The outperformance likely reflects investor interest in Stacks’ non-custodial bitcoin staking architecture. This framework lets $BTC holders stake and earn yield directly on the main Bitcoin blockchain while retaining strict control of their private keys. In contrast, traditional frameworks require users to wrap their assets into synthetic tokens (like wBTC) or move funds over cross-chain bridges to earn additional yield.

Stacks’ framework relies on a mechanism called "bonding," which requires participants to lock up assets to secure the network. The "Bonding Period 3,” due in November, requires participants holding native $STX to lock a specific ratio of $STX alongside their $BTC — equivalent to roughly 5% of the total value of their $BTC — to successfully secure protocol stacking capacity.

This creates a positive feedback loop for $STX: As more $BTC moves into the Stacks ecosystem, a larger portion of $STX is systematically locked up and removed from the active market. By tying bitcoin liquidity directly to $STX scarcity, the architecture skews demand-supply dynamics heavily in favor of long-term price appreciation.

Period 3 follows Periods 1 and 2, which served as preparatory phases to safely transition signers and bootstrap initial liquidity.

$GRVT Starknet’s STRK token has rallied by more than 80% over the past seven days, making it the best performing altcoin among the top 100 by market cap. The token climbed to $0.126 on Sunday, its highest level since December last year. The rally ignited right after the network said on October 8 that it is “actively considering becoming an L1,” a step it pitched as the route towards becoming the first fully quantum-resistant network by 2027.

Starknet Says It Can Only Be as Safe as Ethereum

StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson asked his followers whether going L1 for “post-quantum agility” was a good idea or a bad one. His reasoning is based on how roll ops operate. As a layer 2 on Ethereum, Starknet borrows its security from Ethereum and therefore can only be as quantum-safe as the chain underneath it.

Starknet becoming an L1 for post-quantum agility: good idea or bad idea?

Two giant elements we need to pay attention to:
(1) The quantum threat.
It may be MUCH closer than we think.

(2) AI.
It's becoming more powerful than we can process.
Is anyone willing to bet how much time… pic.twitter.com/bLsxzwX2mQ

— Eli Ben-Sasson | Starknet.io (@EliBenSasson) October 8, 2026

He highlighted that Ethereum had to move “real fast,” and that if it doesn’t, the option to become an L1 can be on the cards. Running its own chain would allow Starknet to ship security updates on its own clock. Its proofs already rely on hash functions, which are considered quantum- resistant and a roadmap which was published on June 30 covers replacing the remaining elliptic-curve pieces.

Ben-Sasson Borrowed an Ethereum Researcher’s Warning

The day before this announcement, Ethereum Foundation researcher Justin Drake asked the blockchain and crypto industry to “calmly begin planning for ‘bunker mode.’” His concern is that AI-driven math could potentially break ECDSA, the signature
