21Shares Analyst: Conditions for Bitcoin to Reach $100,000 in the Fourth Quarter Have Been Met!Matt Mena, an analyst at digital asset investment company 21Shares, said that the conditions are beginning to form for Bitcoin to rise towards the $100,000 level in the fourth quarter of 2026. Mena stated that while price fluctuations may continue in the short term, Bitcoin’s potential for a renewed rise is strengthening.

According to the analyst, Bitcoin could retest the $75,000 level in the near term. Despite the possibility of such a pullback, Mena stated that the likelihood of BTC regaining the $80,000 level has increased. He predicted that Bitcoin could rise to $82,000 by the end of the month if current market conditions remain supportive.

Mena’s assessment indicates that the Bitcoin market simultaneously presents a short-term correction risk and a medium-term bullish outlook. The $75,000 level stands out as a potential support point, while a resurgence above $80,000 could be considered a significant technical development for the market.

Stacks said its first institutional Bitcoin Staking bond went live on Sept. 10 with roughly 250 $BTC committed by 21Shares, digital-asset manager HashKey Cloud, Bitcoin-focused investor UTXO Management and Sypher Capital.

The six-month Genesis Bond targets about 3% annualized yield paid in $BTC, with the first weekly rewards expected on Sept. 17.

A single whale may have been among the only dip-buyers at the time, said analyst Willy Woo.

Blockstream stated that withholding assets obtained without permission in exchange for payment does not constitute legitimate security research, distinguishing responsible disclosure from the unauthorized appropriation of funds.

The company has been in contact with the attackers, attempting to recover user funds. Now, Blockstream is asking them to return the remaining amount without any financial strings attached.
The group outlined their terms in a blockchain post published on Wednesday by Samson Mow, CEO of JAN3 and former Chief Strategy Officer of Blockstream. The proposal called for Blockstream to pay 10% of the reward and stated that Liquid holders could suffer a 15% loss without an agreement.

 The demand arose following the September 6th Liquid hack, in which approximately 4,000 BTC were stolen from the network's federated wallet. The value of the stolen bitcoins at the time was approximately $320 million.

Of this amount, 3,400 BTC were subsequently returned after patching the affected bridge nodes, leaving 598 BTC unclaimed.

If these coins are retained, Blockstream plans to involve law enforcement and seek assistance from exchanges, service providers, and blockchain forensics specialists. Such cooperation could help trace the movement of the bitcoins and determine who controls them.
