This deficit matters to holders of IBIT, FBTC, and competing ETFs because it shows that the products at the center of Bitcoin’s institutional era spent much of 2026 losing money and only recently saw a burst of inflows that nearly made up the difference.

This was no gradual process; inflows came quickly and strongly in a run that lasted three weeks into early September, netting roughly $3.8 billion. The inflows were also very focused; on September 3, one day brought $730.9 million worth of inflows into the ETFs, while the entire week ending September 5 saw $986.9 million brought in on its own – and it was enough to bring the year-to-date amount back below the $1 billion mark.

ARK seeks SEC approval for tokenized share class in its venture fundARK Investment Management requested the SEC to allow its ARK Venture Fund to offer a tokenized share class, which could pave the way for blockchain ownership and secondary trading for a registered interval fund.
However, ARK has no plans to introduce the new share class at this point. The company filed the Second Amended Application with the SEC on August 7, seeking to modify the order issued in 2025 prohibiting the fund from offering shares in the unlisted category without a secondary market.
Two new share classes, one on a blockchain
The ARK Venture Fund is a non-diversified closed-end interval fund functioning as a Delaware statutory trust and engaging in investments in both public and private entities utilizing disruptive innovations. Its offerings bear the names Class D (ARKVX), Class S (ARKSX), and Class U (ARKUX).
Those classes come with different costs. ARK’s prospectus lists net annual fund expenses after reimbursement of 2.90% for Class D, 3.60% for Class S and 3.50% for Class U. Class D and U have no sales load, while Class S may carry one of up to 3.50%. Their distribution and shareholder-services fees are 0.15%, 0.85% and 0.75%, respectively.
ARK now wants to add an Exchange Class and a Tokenized Class. Both would have no sales load, although the filing says either may carry distribution and shareholder-services fees and class-specific expenses. Exact ongoing fee rates and net expense ratios have not yet been specified.

Ryan VanGrack, vice chair and head of corporate affairs at Coinbase, said the crypto industry has reached a turning point on the CLARITY Act, with a broader coalition now backing the bill than ever before.

“It’s time to stop talking and start voting,” VanGrack said, fresh off meetings in Washington ahead of the Senate’s return later this month.

A Coalition Beyond Crypto

VanGrack said the push for CLARITY now extends well past the crypto industry itself. Law enforcement groups, major Wall Street firms, and millions of crypto voters have coalesced around the bill after taking time to actually study what’s in it.

He framed the Senate’s choice and said after more than a year of bipartisan negotiation and compromise, lawmakers are deciding between comprehensive federal oversight or the status quo, which VanGrack said leaves consumers, law enforcement, and illicit finance safeguards all worse off. “I’m hopeful that senators will elevate policy over politics and get this across the finish line,” he said.

What Happens If It Doesn’t Pass Before Midterms

Asked about a fallback plan should the bill stall past the midterm elections, VanGrack pointed to two things he says won’t change regardless of the vote’s outcome.

First, he said the past 18 months have marked a turning point for crypto, with the SEC and CFTC both signaling intent to propose new rules, and international regulators and technologies like tokenization and agentic trading advancing rapidly. Second, he argued that pace of progress isn’t slowing down. “It’s simply a question of whether Congress can keep pace.”

Thanks to the Sunrise protocol, Dogecoin, which normally existed on its own blockchain, can now be used inside the Solana ecosystem from the 7th of September.

For context, Sunrise is a cross-chain liquidity gateway associated with Wormhole infrastructure. It is designed to bring assets from other blockchains onto Solana in a standardized form.

How is this good news for Dogecoin?

This, in turn, will now allow $DOGE users to access Solana applications without manually navigating the multi-step bridging process.

To avoid complications, Sunrise also uses a unified mint for an incoming asset. This intends to prevent several competing versions of $DOGE from fragmenting liquidity across Solana.

That said, $DOGE has historically had limited DeFi functionality because its blockchain was primarily built for payments.

Now, by becoming accessible on Solana, $DOGE can tap into the chain’s broader DeFi ecosystem. As a result, this would allow users to trade, provide liquidity, and potentially use $DOGE in other financial applications. Here, the list includes platforms such as Raydium, Jupiter, and Kamino.

Early success with a hint of complications

That said, just after three hours of going live on Solana, $DOGE reportedly generated more than $10 million of Solana trading volume. In fact, over the last 24 hours, the volume has reached $19 million.

It’s pretty obvious that making $DOGE easier to trade and use on Solana can increase accessibility, liquidity, and potentially demand. However, it’s also important to note that none of those will automatically cause $DOGE’s price to rise.
