$YGG How the $74,500 Calculation Works

The latest pullback has brought a $74,500 downside reference into focus, according to an analysis published by Cryptoquant on Oct. 9. Contributor MAC_D used the cryptocurrency analytics platform’s historical bull market corrections to compare declines during bull markets, periods of broadly rising prices.

The analysis measured a decline from $87,027 on Oct. 5 to $80,404 on Oct. 9, a $6,623 reduction, or approximately 7.61%. A drawdown measures how far a price falls from an earlier peak. That retreat nearly matched the previous expansion’s average setback.

The analyst wrote:

Applying that historical average to the recent high gives a price level of approximately $74,500, which could serve as a reference point in the event of further downside.”

The calculation applies a reported 14.39% historical benchmark, an earlier average used for comparison, to the Oct. 5 high.

Earlier Advances Show How Corrections Differ

Average setbacks were 18.41% in 2010-2011, 21.71% in 2011-2013, 10.93% in 2015-2017, 19.39% in 2018-2021, and 7.58% in 2022-2025. The analysis puts the overall average across the five cycles at 14.39%.

The latest cycle’s milder setbacks accompany other observations of moderating fluctuations over time. Fidelity Digital Assets, Fidelity’s digital asset business, documented moderating volatility in May 2024. The term describes the size of movements in either direction. MAC_D’s analysis also noted that individual events produced significantly deeper corrections.

The broader recovery had received support from Cryptoquant’s Bull Score, which rose from 30 to 80 in August. That gauge combines 10 indicators of demand, holder profitability, network activity, and liquidit

$BTC has climbed back above $83,000, $ETH is hovering just under $2,500, and XRP is trading around $1.39 — the market is catching its breath after a sharp leverage flush earlier in the week, with sentiment still sitting in “fear” territory.

I decided to pull together a quick snapshot of where the top coins actually stand today, since prices move fast enough that yesterday’s numbers rarely tell the full story. Here’s what the board looks like right now:

1️⃣ $BTC — $83,102
 2️⃣ $ETH — $2,491
 3️⃣ USDT — $1.00
 4️⃣ $WBT — $81.67
 5️⃣ $XRP — $1.39
 6️⃣ $USDC — $1.00
 7️⃣ $SOL — $110.17
 8️⃣ $TRX — $0.3322
 9️⃣ $ZEC — $1,220
 🔟 $HYPE — $85.56

Total crypto market cap is sitting near $2.89T, and Bitcoin alone accounts for roughly 58% of it — with Ethereum adding another ~10.5%, the two still make up the bulk of the market. As always, these numbers shift by the minute, so it’s worth checking a live exchange before making any moves based on them.

New Record Forecast for Bitcoin Within 90 Days: Renowned Analyst Expects a Drop to This Level First

Crypto analyst Timothy Peterson suggests that the price of Bitcoin (BTC) could reach an all-time high ($ATH) within the next 90 days, while also sharing a notable price target for a potential short-term decline.

Peterson argued that a new record might be imminent by examining Bitcoin’s past price movements. According to the analyst, in past cycles, whenever Bitcoin recovered from a point where it was 50 percent below its all-time high and rose to 30 percent below the peak, it invariably recorded a new $ATH.

Peterson noted that in all of the historical examples in question, Bitcoin hit a new record high within 75 days at the latest, with a median of only 24 days. Arguing that this statistic holds true under different macroeconomic conditions, the analyst stated that in past examples, Bitcoin reached new highs directly without retracing to a new cycle bottom.

Related News Despite Bitcoin’s Recent Drop, This Data Is Showing a Reversal: What Does It Mean?

Peterson stated that the critical threshold for Bitcoin is around $88,000, predicting that the price could surpass this level later in October. According to the analyst, breaking above this level would signal that a new all-time high is imminent.

On the other hand, Peterson also answered a question regarding how low Bitcoin could fall in its current correction.

When a user asked if Bitcoin would drop to the mid-$70,000 level before returning to an uptrend, Peterson indicated $77,000 as a possible bottom.

IMX price prediction — Is $0.30 next on the cards?
Immutable ($IMX) extended its bullish recovery by recording gains worth 10% over the last 24 hours. These daily gains came just two days after it bounced from a key EMA support near $0.16.

On the daily charts, the token soon stabilized above $0.20, strengthening the case for a potential move towards the $0.30-resistance level. The network’s rising price volatility and a shift to positive funding rates all hinted at renewed activity in the derivatives market too.

Hence, the question: Can buyers sustain the recovery and push $IMX towards $0.30 or will rising volatility trigger another reversal?

Volatility, Funding Rates signal renewed activity

Besides the positive technicals , $IMX’s market activity has been picking up too. The sharp hike in price volatility to 0.04 over the same period suggested that network’s traders and investors may be reacting more aggressively to changing market conditions.

While higher volatility can accompany strong breakouts as seen during previous episodes, this time it could also increase the risk of sudden price swings.

Meanwhile, $IMX’s funding rate also recorded a week of positive gains.

This further indicated that long-position holders have been paying shorts to maintain their perpetual futures exposure.

Can Bulls drive $IMX towards $0.30?

At the time of writing, the next key target for network bulls stood at the $0.30 swing high. Especially if buyers maintain control above $0.20. The presence of several unmitigated liquidity clusters totaling more than $22.15 million above the press time price affirmed the bias and highlighted the resistance level as the next key target.

Sustained buying pressure and positive funding could support further gains, particularly if broader market conditions remain favorable. However, it’s also worth noting that a failure to hold above $0.20 coul

$GRVT Businesses can connect TRON’s USDT economy to regulated U.S. payment rails through Polygon Open Money Stack, which added support for the network on October 7, 2026. The integration brings dollar deposits, wallets and cross-chain routing into one connection for fintechs, remittance providers and payment platforms.

Key takeaways

TRON support links a USDT economy exceeding $94 billion to U.S. payment infrastructure.

Polygon Ramps provides licensed fiat access across 48 U.S. states.

Businesses can route USDT between TRON and supported EVM networks.

Coinme’s acquisition remains pending; Sequence’s acquisition is complete.

Polygon Labs said in a press release that the expansion combines infrastructure that businesses previously had to assemble separately: licensing, sponsor banks, wallet services and cross-chain routing. Customers can fund payments through banking rails and receive USDT on TRON, or send USDT back toward a bank account.

Crypto Briefing reported that the stack launched earlier in 2026 as an integrated financial-services API layer. TRON support extends that buildout with fiat access, custodial wallets and programmable transfers.

Polygon Open Money Stack connects two large payment ecosystems

TRON holds more than $94 billion in circulating USDT, while its stablecoin economy has recorded over $30 trillion in cumulative transfer volume, according to the release. It describes TRON as the largest network for USDT, including its TRC-20 form.

The network supports digital-dollar activity spanning retail payments, savings and cross-border transfers. Adding it gives businesses access to that economy through infrastructure shared with supported EVM networks.

Polygon’s own payment activity had exceeded $3 trillion as of September 21, 2026, the release said. The integration connects these payment ecosystems rather than requiring every tra
