$GRVT The crypto market turned red over the past 24 hours, with Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP all losing ground. Ethereum led the fall after breaking a key trendline, and each of the three now sits on or near a support level that will decide the next move.

Where prices stand

Bitcoin (BTC): $83,285, down 3.3% in 24 hours

Ethereum (ETH): $2,571, down 5.3%

XRP: $1.44, down 4.5%

Solana (SOL): $116.39, down 3.3%

BNB: $767.80, down 2.1%

Bitcoin: uptrend intact, but rallies are being sold

One analyst said Bitcoin has now closed three weekly candles and a monthly candle above its 50-week moving average, a level that has often acted as support in past bull markets. Bitcoin is also still holding its May high near $83,000.

The short-term picture is weaker. He said that every recent rally has been sold and that the moves higher overlap heavily, a sign that sellers are gaining strength.

Bitcoin levels:

Support: $81,600 to $82,930. Bitcoin is trading just above this zone.

Resistance: $85,000 to $87,000. A break above it is needed to confirm the next leg up.

Upside targets: $88,600 and $92,200

Safety net: $63,326 to $74,800 if support fails. The analyst stressed this is “not a target,” only a zone to watch if a deeper pullback begins.

Ethereum: breakdown from a rising triangle

Ethereum was the weakest of the three. Analyst said ETH broke down from a rising triangle after losing support at $2,690 to $2,700, and sellers quickly pushed it toward $2,560.

“As long as ETH stays below the broken trendline, I think downside pressure can continue,” he wrote, adding that the reaction at $2,550 to $2,560 “will be important for the next move.”

There was also news on the demand side. Tom Lee said BitMine will stop buying ETH once it holds 5% of Ethereum’s total supply. BitMine has been one of the largest corporate buyers of ETH.

SlushWallet has made a significant move to enhance the onboarding experience for users of the Sui network. By allowing deposits from 25 different chains with just a card or a few taps, SlushWallet aims to simplify access to Sui transactions. This development, first highlighted by the CryptoTwitter influencer @SuiNetwork, could lead to increased user adoption and engagement across the Sui ecosystem.

Breaking It Down

The broader crypto market is experiencing mixed signals, but Sui stands out as it becomes more accessible through SlushWallet. The integration facilitates user deposits and exchanges, potentially boosting trading activity on the Sui platform. With this enhancement, users can now engage with Sui more easily, which is crucial for its growth amid varying market momentum. This move is indicative of a broader trend towards simplifying blockchain interactions for everyday users.

Market Pulse

Currently, Sui is trading at $0 with no reported volume in the past 24 hours. Despite the lack of trading volume, the integration with SlushWallet indicates a positive shift toward user-friendly solutions in the crypto space. As these developments unfold, the expectation is that user engagement and transaction volume on Sui will gradually increase, influenced by the new accessibility features offered by SlushWallet.

Litecoin marks 15 years of continuous network operation as Grayscale research chief Zach Pandl highlights the veteran cryptocurrency as an “OG altcoin.”

The anniversary arrives alongside Grayscale’s renewed effort to convert its Litecoin Trust into a spot ETF on NYSE Arca.

The filing could give traditional investors a regulated route to LTC exposure if the outstanding regulatory process is completed.

Litecoin marks its 15th anniversary with renewed institutional attention. Launched in October 2011, the network has continued processing transactions without a recorded shutdown.

The anniversary has also brought fresh attention from Grayscale research chief Zach Pandl, who described Litecoin as an “OG altcoin.” The comments arrive as the asset manager pursues a broader market structure for LTC.

Litecoin’s appeal remains tied to its payment-focused design. The network uses a proof-of-work consensus model derived from Bitcoin, while its shorter block interval allows transactions to be confirmed more frequently. As of October 7, 2026, available on-chain data shows roughly 156,000 transactions per day, with average fees near $0.003.

Litecoin also continues to develop its privacy capabilities through MimbleWimble Extension Blocks, or MWEB. The MWEB pool has reached more than 563,000 LTC, according to data cited around the anniversary. Network security remains supported by substantial mining activity, with reported hashrate around 2,671 TH/s.

$GRVT Genius Group, the Singapore-based education company that once held 440 bitcoin, has started buying again.

The company will be starting its reserves from scratch after it sold all 440 coins it held to clear debt.

Is Genius Group holding Bitcoin?

Genius Group (NYSE American: GNS) said on October 6 that it acquired 10 bitcoin for roughly $854,000. This is the company’s first Bitcoin purchase since it emptied its treasury to pay off its debts. It is also the first purchase since a U.S. appeals court cleared away the legal order that had frozen the firm’s fundraising for most of two years.

The 10 coins were bought between October 2 and October 5 at an average of $85,364 each. Chief Executive Roger James Hamilton called the purchase “modest” but said it is to signal to shareholders and to the market that the company has resumed its Bitcoin accumulation strategy.

Genius Group describes itself as an AI-powered education group serving 6 million users across more than 100 countries. It has run a “Bitcoin-first” policy since late 2024, when its board voted to hold 90% or more of reserves in bitcoin and endorsed the corporate-treasury approach popularized by Michael Saylor’s Strategy.

The company’s treasury reached 440 bitcoin by February 2025, spending $42 million at an average of $95,519 per coin. Days later a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction, granted in a dispute with LZG International, barred the company from issuing shares, raising capital, or buying bitcoin.

During that freeze, the company was forced to offload most of its holdings. It briefly resumed buying Bitcoin in May 2025 after the order was suspended and rebuilt its holdings to 85.5 coins, but soon enough on April 1, 2026, Genius Group sold what remained to repay $8.5 million in debt in full, leaving it with no crypto reserves.

XRP Ledger patched decade-old bug that could create billions of dollars in XRP from nothing

A flaw in the $XRP Ledger’s payment system could have let an attacker create large amounts of new $XRP without paying for it, breaking the token’s fixed-supply rule, according to a security report published Friday.

The bug, believed to date to 2015, was found by researcher Cayden Liao and Veria AI and internally reported on Sept. 22. Engineers at RippleX, Ripple’s developer arm, reproduced the attack on a standalone server and confirmed the newly created $XRP could be spent in a later transaction.

RippleX said it found no evidence the flaw was exploited on any public network.

All 100 billion $XRP were created when the ledger launched in 2012, and its software is built so no more can ever be added. But the security vulnerability could have allowed an attacker to create $XRP from nothing and sell it on exchanges, undercutting a supply cap that institutions using the network rely on.

The attack worked through the ledger’s built-in exchange, where accounts post offers to swap one token for another.

An attacker would open hundreds of accounts, have each one offer a tiny amount of a token in exchange for an unusually large amount of $XRP, then send a single payment that bought every offer at once.

The total $XRP owed would be too large for the software to count correctly, so the attacker’s selling accounts would be paid in full while the buying account was charged almost nothing — leaving the attacker with $XRP that hadn’t existed before.

The $XRP Ledger runs a check after every transaction to make sure no new $XRP has appeared, but that check relied on the same miscounted total and would have missed it. A separate limit on how much $XRP a single account can receive wouldn’t have triggered either, because the attack spread the $XRP across hundreds of
