South Korea’s Hana Financial Group has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Standard Chartered Group to collaborate on digital asset initiatives. Local media reports from March 16 claim that the two institutions plan to leverage their combined expertise and global networks to expand their presence in traditional finance.  As part of the partnership, the two companies will also explore joint initiatives in digital finance involving cryptocurrencies. Reports suggested the plans also include stablecoins. “The partnership between Hana Financial Group and Standard Chartered Group, leveraging their extensive global networks and diverse financial know-how, will serve as a strong competitive edge in the global financial sector.’ Ham Young-joo, Chairman of Hana Financial Group, said in an accompanying statement. ‘We will create new growth opportunities by generating synergies in future financial domains, including digital assets,” he added. A senior executive at one of Asia's leading financial firms just made one of the clearest institutional cases for XRP heard in recent months, and the numbers he cited are difficult to argue with.

Sagar Shah, Chief Business Officer of EverNorth Asia, sat down for an interview covering the XRP Ledger ecosystem and its potential role in global finance.

Shah did not hedge his view on XRP. "I see XRP as being structural to finance," he said, "and I see a lot of potential, a massive amount of potential for XRP."

The foundation of that conviction starts with the cross-border payments market, which Shah described as fundamentally broken at its core. "Cross-border payments is a market worth over $150 trillion per year," he said, "and the existing system is just really poor. They charge 6% just to send maybe a $200 payment across the border."

To put that in perspective: a 6% fee on a $200 remittance means the sender loses $12 before the recipient sees a cent. Accumulation Curve Structure Drives Breakout Momentum
The chart posted by Ardin highlights a clear local accumulation curve that developed over several weeks. Instead of reversing sharply, Hyperliquid (HYPE) formed a rounded structure where price gradually transitioned from decline into recovery. This curved formation reflected a prolonged phase where buyers steadily absorbed supply, allowing the market to stabilize before advancing.

As the accumulation process matured, HYPE’s price began pushing into higher levels that had previously acted as resistance. The first notable level sat near $36.50. Once this barrier was cleared, the upward move accelerated toward the next target positioned around $38.50.

Both levels were taken out within a short period, confirming that the earlier consolidation phase had evolved into a stronger expansion move. The breakout also coincided with price following the upward arc of the accumulation curve, reinforcing the idea that the structure served as a base for continuation rather than a temporary rebound.

With these resistance levels now behind the market, the chart shows Hyperliquid (HYPE) trading above them, effectively transforming former barriers into areas that could now support price during any short-term pullbacks.

In fact, a recent report from the Asian crypto trading firm, QCP Capital, revealed that stablecoin liquidity is rising despite equities and gold buckling under pressure. This is a sign that the crypto market is navigating the turbulence caused by heightened geopolitical tensions.

Crypto Resists Pressure From War Tensions

According to the latest QCP Market Colour report, cryptocurrencies are striking back and not letting the war get the most of their price movements in what analysts call a “late-quarter plot twist.” Both bitcoin ($BTC) and ether ($ETH) are trading in the green over daily and weekly timeframes. At the time of writing, $BTC was hovering above $73,550, while $ETH changed hands around $2,250.

Bitcoin’s safe-haven and geopolitical-hedge narrative is resurfacing, with market volatility testing the thesis in real time. Equities, on the other hand, are testing key support levels amid heightened oil volatility and geopolitical tensions. This reflects the decoupling between crypto, equities, and gold.

It is worth noting that crypto has decoupled from gold and equities to the upside before; this happened during the early stages of the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2022. Although the implosion of the Terra-Luna ecosystem and the downfall of FTX reversed bitcoin’s upward momentum, the asset climbed from $35,000 to $48,000 within a month. Analysts say a similar pattern could play out this time, however, without the same level of systemic shock due to the industry’s maturity.
