Israel’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.2% in February 2026 from the previous month, according to Central Bureau of Statistics figures released today. Economists had expected the CPI to remain unchanged. Over the past 12 months, the index has risen 2%, within the Bank of Israel’s annual target range for inflation of 1%-3% but higher than the rise of 2% in the 12 months to the end of January 2026. This even before the pace of inflation picks up in the wake of the war due to the sharp rise in global oil prices.There were significant rises in February in prices of fresh fruit and vegetables, up 2.6%; culture and entertainment up 0.8%; food and transport up 0.3%.On the other hand, clothing fell 3.3%, fresh vegetables fell 1.4% and vehicle insurance fell 0.4%.Home prices fell by 0.1% in December 2025- January 2026 according to the Central Bureau of Statistics, compared with November-December 2025. In comparison with the same period in 12 months ago, home prices have fallen 0.9%.This latest fall follows two month in which prices rose, after eight consecutive months of falls from March 2025, the Central Bureau of Statistics reports.Prices in Tel Aviv rose by 0.7% between November-December 2025 and December 2025 - January 2026. In the south prices rose 0.1%, in Jerusalem prices fell 0.9%, in the north prices were unchanged, in Haifa prices rose 0.1% and in the central region prices fell 0.6%.

The foundation has provided reasons for its large-scale ETH sale, citing ongoing support of operations and activities.

Ethereum Foundation Sells ETH To Crypto Company
The Ethereum Foundation has completed a new ETH sale to support its ongoing development efforts. In an X post on March 14, the organization announced that it was offloading 5,000 ETH, worth approximately $10 million, at an average price of $2,042.96 through an over-the-counter (OTC) transaction. The buyer in this deal is Bitmine, a publicly traded Bitcoin mining company that operates under the ticker BMNR.

According to the Ethereum Foundation, the ETH transaction was confirmed on-chain through the organization’s Safe multisig wallet at address: 0x9fC3dc011b461664c835F2527fffb1169b3C213e. The sale represents part of the foundation’s broader treasury management strategy, which is guided by detailed policies published in 2025.

The Ethereum Foundation has also stated that the funds raised from the sale will be used for its core operations and activities. These include protocol research and development, ecosystem management, and community grant funding. Bitmine’s involvement as an OTC counterparty highlights a growing network of institutional buyers interested in participating in the Ethereum ecosystem. The company has continued to buy ETH even during volatile market conditions.

Notably, the move also follows a series of previous ETH sales by the organization, demonstrating a structured approach toward funding its operational and developmental priorities. In July 2025, the foundation sold 10,000 ETH to SharpLink Gaming through a similar OTC arrangement. Before that, the Ethereum Foundation had carried out

IBM Opens Quantum Hardware to Researchers as Bitcoin Security Threat Looms



IBM is expanding free access to its quantum computers, giving researchers more time with powerful hardware to run experiments as the threat of future quantum advancements hangs over the crypto industry.

The company said Monday it is updating the IBM Quantum Open Plan, a free cloud platform that lets anyone run experiments on real quantum machines. The changes increase runtime limits, add new training resources, and allow access to one of IBM’s more advanced processors.

“Starting today, researchers on the Open Plan who use 20 minutes of runtime within any 12-month period can opt in to a special one-time promotion and get 180 minutes of runtime for the next 12 months,” IBM said in a statement.

IBM’s Open Plan usually gives users 10 minutes of time on a quantum computer every 28 days, which lets researchers run small experiments, test algorithms, and try simple quantum programs.

The update comes as Bitcoin developers debate how soon quantum computing could eventually challenge the cryptography that secures the network.

IBM is also opening access to its Heron R2 processor, called ibm_kingston—a more advanced quantum system capable of running large numbers of quantum operations quickly while keeping error rates relatively low.

With the expanded runtime and hardware access, IBM said, researchers can run more advanced workloads, including hybrid optimization algorithms, error-mitigation experiments, and other research tied to quantum computing. IBM is also introducing a course focused on planning research programs, identifying use cases, and securing research funding.

On March 14, Dunes published a breakdown on X, arguing that three anonymous figures in the XRP community have dropped clues that independently point to the same date, March 22, as a critical moment for Ripple and XRP. Dunes stated that he had decoded a series of cryptic social media posts over the years and connected the dots, suggesting that the patterns within them may be more than mere coincidence.

The first figure Dunes referenced is ‘BabaCugs,’ a well-known riddler in the XRP community. He highlighted a post in which BabaCugs wrote: “Stop looking at February, it’s actually April.” The post also pointed to an image by another well-known riddler, @bearableguy123, titled “So it begins,” which prominently featured the number 2-14.

Dunes argued that 2-14 should not be interpreted as February 14. Instead, he suggests that 14 represents a day and 2 represents the month in the Ethiopian calendar system. Under that framework, the date 2-14 also aligns with October 24, 2025, on the standard Gregorian calendar.

According to the analyst, this date corresponds to a real-world event, marking the day Ripple Prime, the prime brokerage platform created after the acquisition of Hidden Road, went live. Dune’s analysis describes Ripple Prime as the central mechanism of a new financial system where XRP’s liquidity plays an irreplaceable role.
