XMR Means Private, decentralized cryptocurrency

$GRVT StarkWare announced on October 8 that it is actively exploring the possibility of Starknet evolving from an Ethereum Layer 2 into an independent post-quantum Layer 1 blockchain. A non-binding governance poll is now live for STRK holders to weigh in. It is running for seven days, with results visible immediately at close.

This is not a final decision, and what the community says next will determine whether this goes further or stays on the shelf. Also, the core argument is quantum security. Starknet already runs on hash-based STARK proofs and supports native account abstraction.

That means the parts of the network under Starknet’s own control are already provably resistant to quantum computers. User accounts can adopt post-quantum signatures without needing a protocol upgrade.

The problem is the parts Starknet doesn’t control. Functions like data availability and the Ethereum bridge depend on Ethereum’s infrastructure. Their quantum security is tied to Ethereum’s own upgrade timeline. Moving to an independent L1 would allow Starknet to set its own security requirements for those functions without waiting on Ethereum.

What’s Already Decided and What Is Not?

Some things are fixed regardless of which direction the vote goes. STRK remains the token; no new token will be created. Bridges from Ethereum to Starknet will stay open either way.

The proposal does not include a transition date, a consensus mechanism, a data availability design, or a migration plan. StarkWare has said publicly which direction it leans, but the technical architecture of an independent L1 has not been finalised or presented to the community.

What Happens After the Vote?

The poll runs for seven days, and the three outcomes are possible. A Yes result triggers a formal research effort, leading to more detailed proposals and further community votes. A No result means the

‘Wow, it’s a real discovery’: Claude cracks a 25-year NSA number mystery

An Anthropic AI model has cracked one of cryptography’s longest-running whodunits, tracing numbers the NSA handed to the U.S. government in the late 1990s, which were long suspected of hiding a backdoor, to an ordinary random-number program fed with timestamps from 1997 and 1998.

It took the model just about half an hour to come up with a solution — one that cryptographers had been chasing to answer for 25 years.

A lock with an unexplained design

Much of the internet relies on elliptic-curve cryptography, the family of mathematics that is also used to protect bitcoin wallets. It lets someone prove they hold a secret key without revealing the details of the key itself.

Think of the curve as a lock design anyone can inspect. Each person using it has their own secret key, but everyone relies on the design being difficult to break.

But who chose the mathematics everyone would trust?

In 2000, the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology, or NIST, adopted a set of curves supplied by the National Security Agency. The NSA provided those designs without explaining where some of the numbers used to generate them came from.

The secrecy became even harder to dismiss after the Snowden disclosures linked the NSA to efforts to weaken cryptographic standards. NIST later removed that tool, the Dual EC random-number generator, from its recommendations.

Those starting numbers, called seeds, were public. But the NSA never explained how it chose them, fueling years of suspicion that it had tested many alternatives until it found a curve with a weakness only it knew how to exploit. The tinfoil theory was that the NSA had a backdoor to every system that used it.

Cryptographers Neal Koblitz and Alfred Menezes examined the controversy in their 2015 paper, “A Riddle Wrapped in an Enigma.

Why Venice Token’s AI expansion could push VVV price toward $30

Venice Token [$VVV] continues to advance after a successful bounce off from the $21 support zone, which was previously the resistance level that acted as a barrier against bears. At the time of writing, $VVV surged by 10% in the past 24 hours.

The rise follows the addition of new products with AI technology, namely Hy4 Preview, Muse Spark, and Muse Wonder by Venice. At the same time, $VVV’s revenue growth has been aided by increased adoption of its AI solutions, with October generating the most revenue on the platform.

Could solid fundamentals aid $VVV in breaking into the $30 liquidity cluster?

Can $VVV defend the $21 support?
$VVV’s rebound follows repeated tests of the $21 price zone, which has shifted from resistance into a key support zone for the network bulls.

Remaining above this level will enable the bullish formation to be maintained and also provide the bulls a chance to attack stronger resistance. On the other hand, breaking down below the $21 level will undermine the bullish technical setup.

But with the token still trading above the 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day MAs, $VVV’s long-term structure still leans on the favor of bulls.

Is $30 $VVV’s next target?
The next major barrier for the bulls sits around the $30 resistance level. The price level hosts an unmitigated liquidity cluster worth $31 million that could attract market attention, according to the liquidation heat maps data.

If $VVV manages to hold the support and buying activity gains momentum, then it could help the coin move towards this area. Revenue growth and AI product development will likely provide support to sentiment, but traders require further confirmation from the price action itself.
