BlackRock’s newly launched staked Ethereum ETF, trading under the ticker ETHB, recorded a robust first day of trading with approximately $15.5 million in volume and over 590,000 shares exchanged. Bloomberg Intelligence ETF analyst James Seyffart described the debut as “very, very solid” for a new ETF, noting that the fund had started the day with just over $100 million in assets and had already reached $11.1 million in volume by mid-afternoon.
The ETF provides exposure to Ethereum while incorporating staking, allowing investors to earn yield through validator participation on the Ethereum network. At press time, Ethereum was trading around $2,110, near the psychologically significant $2,000 level amid ongoing market volatility.
Analysts consider the initial trading activity a strong start for ETHB, signaling continued institutional interest in Ether-based investment products and suggesting growing demand for regulated crypto exposure through mainstream financial channels.

The move came as investors tracked the war in Iran and its effect on global energy supply. By late morning in New York, the S&P 500 was up 0.4%, the NASDAQ 100 had gained 0.6%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average was higher by 0.5%.

West Texas Intermediate crude dropped about 12% to $83.54 a barrel, while Brent crude fell about 11% to around $88. The decline followed Monday’s surge, when oil had climbed close to four-year highs as markets priced in supply disruption linked to the conflict. On Tuesday, the focus shifted to possible policy action after G-7 officials asked for technical work on reserve-release options.

French Finance Minister Roland Lescure said G-7 governments had asked the IEA to study potential release volumes and prepare scenarios if market conditions require action. The drop in crude prices shaped trading across US equities through the session. Technology shares outperformed, helping lift the NASDAQ 100 more than the Dow. The oil move followed a rapid reversal in sentiment. Brent crude had touched about $119.50 on Monday before falling back on Tuesday, while WTI also pulled lower after a steep rise in the previous session. The report focuses on the Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) ratio, a widely used on-chain indicator designed to evaluate whether Bitcoin is trading above or below its historical cost basis.

The MVRV ratio compares Bitcoin’s market capitalization with its realized capitalization, which represents the aggregated value of coins based on the price at which they last moved on-chain. By analyzing this relationship, the indicator helps determine whether the average investor is currently holding unrealized profits or losses.

According to the latest data, Bitcoin’s 365-day MVRV ratio has fallen to levels similar to those observed in late 2022 following the collapse of the FTX exchange. During that period, intense market stress pushed many investors into unrealized losses, compressing average returns well below historical norms and marking one of the most difficult phases of the previous market cycle.

MVRV Patterns Suggest Possible Undervaluation Phase
The CryptoQuant report notes that previous periods of depressed MVRV readings have often preceded strong recoveries in Bitcoin’s price. After the sharp market stress that followed the FTX collapse in late 2022, Bitcoin entered a similar valuation zone. In the three months that followed, the asset rallied roughly 67%, marking the beginning of a broader recovery phase.
