Ripple says big companies could soon pay staff with crypto. What does this mean for the latest the XRP price prediction?

The next wave of crypto adoption is not coming from retail. XRP says it is coming from the CFO's office.

On March 12, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse highlighted the work of Ripple Treasury SVP Renaat Ver Eecke, who has been focused on one specific thesis: corporate finance teams are the next major driver of crypto adoption.

Ver Eecke posted on X that the office of the CFO is waking up to what digital assets and stablecoins can actually do beyond price speculation, pointing to treasury operations, vendor payments, and payroll as the real use cases now being explored by enterprises.

This is about Fortune 500 finance departments quietly stress-testing whether they can run parts of their operations on blockchain rails.

Ripple is positioning XRP and its payments infrastructure directly in that lane. Ver Eecke also called out Mastercard's Crypto Partner Program, which Ripple is part of alongside Circle, PayPal, and Gemini, as exactly the kind of institutional framework needed to prove enterprise stability and push blockchain adoption into the next phase.

Ripple separately stated that digital assets are moving from experimentation to real-world use, and that connecting onchain innovation with trusted global payments infrastructure requires the whole ecosystem to move together. That is not marketing language. Let's take a look at the XRP chart now.

This resulted in a net decrease of around 800 BTC for the month. Even if there had been no sales in February, the net additions would still have paled in comparison to previous months, such as January and December, which saw gains of 41,000 BTC and 29,000 BTC, respectively. Additionally, the report analyzed the dollar value of public companies' holdings, which fell from $102 billion in January to $78 billion in February, reflecting Bitcoin's downtrend experienced during the month. Despite this downturn, there is a glimmer of hope, as the report indicates that public treasuries added an estimated 62,000 BTC so far in the current quarter, primarily driven by Strategy's activities. Well, Bitcoin’s current market positioning shows a textbook example of resilience.

From a technical perspective, BTC’s 9.54% weekly gains so far are its strongest bullish weekly run since before the October crash. The latter flipped market risks off and triggered a 30%+ correction from the $126K market top. This is a notable divergence, especially with volatility still elevated due to the ongoing war.

In this context, it’s important to separate short-term speculation from genuine accumulation. On the sentiment side, the Crypto Fear & Greed Index

climbed from 16 to 32, moving out of extreme fear territory. What this implied is that traders may be gradually regaining confidence in the market

However, what makes this divergence even more interesting is JPMorgan’s recent observation.

According to CoinMarketCap, Bitcoin ETF inflows have outpaced gold ETFs since the start of the war, with IBIT’s assets rising about 1.5% while GLD’s fell roughly 2.7%. This means that despite ongoing macro uncertainty, investors might be increasingly favoring BTC over traditional safe-haven assets.

In this context, Bitcoin’s weekly resilience isn’t a fluke. On-chain accumulation and a shift in sentiment mark key divergences that set this rally apart from the Q4 2025 FUD. If this trend continues, whale positions could be at risk of a squeeze, adding fuel to the move.
