Can Bitcoin break $75K? Options market says yes, but ONLY IF…

As the West Asia crisis drags on, there are two weeks to the end of the quarter Option expiry. Hence, the Options market positioning could offer another view into investors’ risk appetite and expectations in the near term. 

According to Glassnode, $75K remained a key level that has seen massive call buying (bullish bets). Clearing this level could fuel further upside momentum due to dealer hedging flows, added the blockchain analysis firm. 

At the same time, the majority of puts (bearish bets) and hedging activity were concentrated at $60k, suggesting sophisticated players were still prepared for another leg down.

Strategy Founder Michael Saylor Unveiled His New Theory on Bitcoin


Strategy chairman Michael Saylor shared what he describes as a “digital credit theory,” a new financial approach based on Bitcoin (BTC).

According to Saylor, the model is based on creating a pool of appreciating capital through Bitcoin and issuing loans using these assets as collateral.

Saylor stated that the first step of the model is to create a capital pool that appreciates in value, and suggested using Bitcoin for this purpose. Once this capital pool is created, he explained, the company could issue loans that are overcollateralized by its equity base. He added that this loan structure could be provided through one of the company’s products, a financial instrument called STRC.

In the third phase of the model, Saylor stated that a portion of the increase in Bitcoin’s value could be converted into cash and used for dividend financing, adding that this could be done through direct sales or derivative instruments. He argued that company shares and derivative markets could also play a role in this process.

According to Saylor, this structure creates different risk and return profiles between loan investors and equity investors. Saylor argues that loan investors achieve more stable cash flow and relatively low volatility, while equity investors gain stronger performance potential in exchange for higher volatility.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs pulled in $53 million in a single day this week, pushing monthly inflows past $1.16 billion — a sharp reversal after four straight months of outflows that drained more than $6 billion from those same funds.

ETF Inflows Signal A Shift In Investor Behavior

The turnaround is being read by analysts as a sign that investors are stepping back in after a prolonged selloff. Bitcoin was trading around $70,850 as of Saturday, up from lows earlier in the year, and technical indicators are pointing in a bullish direction.

The Relative Strength Index has climbed from an extreme low of 15 in January to 56, and the Supertrend indicator has flipped from bearish to bullish on the daily chart.

Prediction markets are reflecting that improved sentiment. On Kalshi, the probability of Bitcoin reaching $100,000 before January 2027 has risen to 40% — its highest reading since February. Polymarket puts the odds even higher, at 50%. To hit that target, Bitcoin would need to gain roughly 35% from current levels.
