If the current decline in shipping activities persists and oil and gas prices continue to rise, a corresponding rise in inflation is expected, considering the importance of petroleum products in daily activities.

In regard to effects on financial markets, central banks typically respond to these conditions with a financial tightening policy by raising interest rates in an attempt to slow down economic activity. During such environments, investors are likely to move capital into fiat currencies, e.g., US dollars, to take advantage of interest rates to match potential devaluations from inflation. He argues that AI flags should never trigger automatic penalties; instead, they must undergo human review and contextual analysis.

“The traditional sports trading industry has spent decades punishing winners through account restrictions and reduced limits. That’s the opposite of what prediction markets should be,” Mahensaria noted. He suggested that the best defense against insider trading is not aggressive surveillance, but rather smart market design—refusing to list markets that are highly susceptible to manipulation in the first place.

Mahensaria also highlighted that the blockchain layer provides a significant advantage for these integrity efforts.

“On-chain prediction markets generate a transparent, immutable record of every trade, which gives AI surveillance systems a richer dataset,” he said. “The combination of on-chain transparency and AI-driven analysis creates a genuinely better integrity infrastructure than what exists in most traditional sports trading environments today.

Partnership positions Chainlink as the canonical oracle and cross-chain infrastructure provider for ADI Chain, supporting the UAE's dirham-backed stablecoin initiative and enabling secure blockchain connectivity for over one billion users across emerging markets. 

ADI Foundation, the Abu Dhabi-based institutional blockchain platform founded by Sirius International Holding – the digital arm of IHC, one of the largest investment companies in the world – and Chainlink, the industry-standard oracle platform, today announced a strategic partnership to integrate the Chainlink platform, including the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), across ADI Chain and its expanding ecosystem of institutional partners.

The partnership integrates Chainlink as an infrastructure provider for blockchain services across ADI Chain’s ecosystem, including oracle services for stablecoins and tokenized assets. But I have no doubt that we will see the cumulative ETF flow into the $100B+ region over the next few years.

Whether price is following the same path is a matter of time in my opinion. Every $ these ETFs absorb from larger OG sellers or short term traders, is a more solid and diversified supply & base built for the long term.

2025 was a good example of that. We saw $20B+ of inflows into the ETFs with BTC ending the year just about in the red. Not ideal obviously price action wise, but the fact we did have these inflows and for the coins to have rotated to the ETFs, makes a more solid base in the future. Imagine what price might have done without those flows after all.
