There was also a spike in trading activity with the volume increasing to 4.1billion being a 39.71% increase. The wider crypto market rebounded sharply off recent lows and rose by 6.28%, raising overall capitalization to 2.49 trillion. Bitcoin price rallied by 7% and is trading above the $73,000 mark. Ethereum also advanced firmly, crossing $2,100 after strong buying pressure. 

Markets React as Iran Seeks Talks with U.S

The  Iran-U.S. diplomatic signals lifted market mood and sparked a fresh rally across major cryptocurrency markets.

There were reports that Iran was calling on the United States to hold talks that would bring the war to an end.

The report prepared by the New York Times states that the message was sent via the intelligence channels of Iran. According to the officials, the message was sent to the Central Intelligence Agency via the middlemen of the spy agency in Iran.

U.S. President Donald Trump previously conceded effort to contact, but stated that negotiations could be delayed. The easing of geopolitical tension was a good sign that investors rushed back to digital asset markets.

Coinbase, Microsoft and Europol take down phishing service ‘Tycoon 2FA’

A coalition of tech companies and law enforcement, including Coinbase, has dismantled the core infrastructure of Tycoon 2FA, a major phishing-as-a-service platform that offered tools to bypass multi-factor authentication.

Europol announced Wednesday that Microsoft helped block 330 domains linked to the platform, while law enforcement seized additional key infrastructure.

Financial tracing was also a key aspect. Coinbase said it assisted by tracing blockchain-related transactions funding Tycoon 2FA, which helped identify the phishing platform's alleged administrator and buyers.

“Taking Tycoon’s core infrastructure offline cuts off a major pipeline for credential theft and initial access, and forces criminals to rebuild, retool, and take on more risk,” Coinbase added.

Phishing scams were flagged as the second-largest threat in 2025 by blockchain security firm Certik, costing crypto investors $722 million across 248 incidents. A PeckShield spokesperson told Cointelegraph on Monday that phishing remains a “persistent threat” in 2026.

Tycoon tools used to bypass multi-factor authentication

Tycoon’s toolkit included spoofed landing pages designed to steal user credentials on legitimate websites. It also captured session cookies and tokens, allowing attackers to bypass MFA protections, according to Coinbase.

Generally, when a user logs in using MFA, the system generates a session token. The token acts as proof of authentication and is stored in the user’s browser. If a hacker steals the token, they can use it to fool the system and bypass MFA.

That combination, high-fidelity lures plus session-token theft, turns phishing into a reliable on-ramp for bigger crimes like account takeovers, business email compromise, invoice fraud, and follow-on social engineering,” Coinbase added.

Tron Inc., backed by crypto entrepreneur and billionaire Justin Sun, acquired 175,251 $TRX tokens for over $50,000 on Thursday, boosting its treasury to 685 million $TRX, valued at approximately $195 million.

The company has been steadily increasing its $TRX holdings over the past few weeks.

So far this month, Tron Inc. has accumulated around 886,000 $TRX tokens worth over $250,000, on-chain data shows.

Established last July following a merger with SRM Entertainment, Tron Inc. is a blockchain infrastructure company that focuses on $TRX treasury strategies, including accumulating and staking, and entertainment merchandise. Sun serves as the firm’s strategic advisor.

$TRX is the native token of the Tron blockchain, a network designed for decentralized applications and content distribution. According to CoinGecko data, $TRX now ranks as the eighth-largest crypto asset by market capitalization.

By accumulating $TRX on its balance sheet, Tron Inc. provides shareholders with exposure to the performance of the underlying protocol without requiring them to hold the digital asset directly.

Shares of Tron Inc. closed Wednesday up around 7%, per Yahoo Finance. The stock has jumped roughly 18% year-to-date.
