The new Ripple whitepaper introduces the Prime Broker model, which aims to streamline the processes by which institutional clients access the crypto market. The crypto noted that the XRP Ledger (XRPL) can support early settlement within a Digital Prime Brokerage framework. This can happen by enabling on-chain credit lines that fund settlement ahead of the standard net settlement cycle, with funding costs applied explicitly and transparently.

Ripple stated that, under the Prime Broker model, the prime broker exposes on-chain credit lines to brokers and market makers. These credit lines allow participants to access liquidity before the standard net settlement cutoff. As the firm proposes bringing these institutional clients on-chain, it is worth noting that the XRP Ledger has activated the Permissioned DEX.

Bitcoin’s Liquidation Map Reveals Asset’s Potential Near-Term Move
Bitcoin’s recent price recovery is unfolding against a striking macro divergence that analysts say holds the key to its next move.

According to Tipper Analytics, global liquidity has climbed to nearly $190 trillion, even as Bitcoin corrected from $125,000 to $65,000. At face value, the disconnect appears anomalous. Historically, expanding liquidity has coincided with rising crypto valuations. However, the composition of that liquidity reveals a different story.

Much of the recent increase has been driven by injections from the People’s Bank of China, totalling roughly $1 trillion in 2025 and potentially another trillion this year. That capital, analysts argue, does not flow into Bitcoin. Instead, it supports gold reserves, domestic infrastructure, and China’s internal economy, particularly given the country’s ban on cryptocurrency activity.

When isolating Western liquidity, the component that Bitcoin more directly responds to, momentum peaked in October and has slowed since. Gold reacted swiftly to the Chinese-driven expansion and advanced to record highs. Bitcoin, tethered to Western monetary conditions, moved in the opposite direction.

The divergence shows that liquidity composition, not just aggregate levels, determines asset performance. A renewed acceleration in Western liquidity, whether triggered by Federal Reserve intervention, dollar weakness, or broader financial stress, could provide the catalyst for Bitcoin to recover lost ground.

In the near term, price action is constructive. As per CoinMarketCap data, Bitcoin is up 1.23% to $67,227, outperforming the broader crypto market after a decisive breakout above the prior swing high near $71,140. This move is supported by volume expansion, rising open interest, and positive funding rates,

There has been a lot of good and bad news for Aave lately.


Recent DeFi revenue trends have revealed a widening divide between speculative sectors and credit-driven protocols.

Total ecosystem fees climbed to $56 million over the past 24 hours. And yet, this aggregate masks sharp volatility across DEXs, NFTs, and GameFi platforms.

Lending protocols, meanwhile, maintain steadier revenue through persistent borrowing demand. Aave [AAVE] generated $1.62 million in daily fees and $82.14 million over 30 days. At the same time, its $32.4 billion TVL is anchoring liquidity across major lending markets.

. Maple Finance has also strengthened institutional credit through real-world asset lending. These models rely on utilization rather than speculative trading volume.

Utilization levels reinforce this stability. Right now, Aave’s stablecoin markets hold near 60%, while Morpho vaults often exceed 85%. As speculative sectors fluctuate, on-chain credit increasingly stands out as DeFi’s most durable revenue engine.

Aave’s lending model delivers consistent revenue

Aave has demonstrated strong and consistent revenue generation across market cycles. In fact, the monthly revenue reached $13.4 million in February – Indicative of 31% growth month over month. At the same time, year-over-year expansion climbed by roughly 38%.

Previous months showed moderate fluctuations, with revenue dipping near $5 million before steadily rising above $15 million in late 2025. Meanwhile, the cumulative revenue curve has been hiking consistently, highlighting persistent fee generation across the protocol.

Over the trailing twelve months, revenue approached roughly $145 million too.

US lawmakers warn temporary CBDC ban isn’t enough, demand 'permanent' block

A group of US lawmakers is uniting to prevent the US central bank from ever issuing a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), warning that proposed legislation only delays it until 2031.

“We write to you to express the dire need to prohibit a Central Bank Digital Currency from ever happening in the United States,” US Congressman Michael Cloud wrote in a letter on Friday addressed to House Speaker Mike Johnson and US Senate majority leader John Thune, joined by 28 other members of Congress in support.

It follows a proposed amendment to the Federal Reserve Act that would bar the US central bank from issuing a CBDC until 2031. The amendment is part of the 300-page “21st Century ROAD to Housing Act” (HR 6644), which was released on Monday by the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.

However, Cloud and the other lawmakers argued that the temporary block isn’t strong enough to protect Americans.

“A prohibition of a Central Bank Digital Currency must be permanent,” the letter said, adding that CBDCs “would expose Americans to unconstitutional financial surveillance and give the unelected Federal Reserve unprecedented power over Americans’ finances that would violate their civil liberties and financial freedom.”

US lawmakers argue it must end “before it is too late”

“A CBDC is inherently anti-American and a looming issue we must put an end to before it is too late,” the letter said.

The lawmakers argued that the amendment “includes a watered-down version” of the “Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act” (HR 1919), which was introduced in June 2025 by Congressman Tom Emmer.

The bill passed the House on July 17 but has yet to receive full Senate approval.

Six asset classes now exceed $1 billion onchain, but just 12% of RWA-backed stablecoin supply has entered DeFi protocols.

Tokenized real-world assets, excluding stablecoins, have crossed $25 billion in onchain value, nearly quadrupling from roughly $6.4 billion a year earlier, according to data from RWA.xyz

The milestone, and continued growth, as RWAs hit the $20 billion mark at the end of 2025, continues a shift from early experimentation toward institutional-scale deployment. Asset managers, including BlackRock, Fidelity, and WisdomTree, have launched tokenized fund products over the past year, while the number of tokenized U.S. Treasury offerings alone expanded from 35 to over 50, according to data compiled by Nexus Data Labs.

Six tokenized asset categories have now crossed the $1 billion threshold: U.S. Treasuries, commodities, private credit, institutional alternative funds, corporate bonds, and non-U.S. government debt, according to RWA.xyz data
