Bitcoin is showing mixed signals as one long term indicator points to a broader cycle recovery while a shorter term chart warns that resistance still stands in the way. Together, the two setups show a market that may still have room to grow later, but first has to survive a critical near term test.

A long term Bitcoin chart shared by analyst Ali Martinez shows that earlier bull markets started after the MVRV Z Score dropped to extreme low levels. The indicator, which compares Bitcoin's market value to its realized value, has historically helped identify periods when the asset traded below its average investor cost basis.

Hana Financial recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with global banking giant Standard Chartered to collaborate across banking and digital asset services. Technically, Bitcoin has held its ground around the 200-week Exponential Moving Average (EMA) and a significant Fair Value Gap. This area, roughly between $70,000 and $76,000, has now become a reclaimed support zone between $70,500 and $73,900. For a continued bullish trajectory, Bitcoin needs to overcome resistance levels between $80,600 and $85,000. A weekly close below $68,000 would invalidate this positive outlook.

Recent price action supports this optimistic view. The latest weekly candle formed a bullish pattern at the 200-week EMA, indicating strong demand absorbed earlier selling. The reclamation of the $73,900 level has turned a former demand zone into active support. Furthermore, the long lower wicks on previous weekly candles suggest consistent buying interest and potential institutional accumulation during the recent dip.

Looking ahead, Bitcoin appears to be exiting a period of consolidation. Maintaining levels above $74,000 would reinforce the idea of a stable higher-timeframe base, with the next target being the $80,600 resistance. A decisive break above $85,000 could propel Bitcoin towards the $100,000 mark. Overall, the market sentiment remains bullish, with the recent correction viewed as a successful defense of the market structure, favoring a "buy the dip" strategy in the long term.

Bitmine buys 60,999 ether as Tom Lee touts crypto strength amid Iran war



Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR), the largest ether-focused treasury firm, bought 60,999 ether ($ETH) last week as it continues to build up its holdings of the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

In token terms, the purchase was the company's biggest this year, though only a small increase from the previous week's 60,976 $ETH haul.

The latest purchase, worth nearly $140 million at current prices, lifted Bitmine’s $ETH holdings to 4,595,562 tokens, valued at more than $10 billion, according to a Monday update from the company.

The firm maintained a $1.2 billion cash holding, even though it increased its stake in Worldcoin-focused (WLD) treasury firm Eightco (ORBS) last week alongside its $ETH purchase.

Bitmine's stock was nearly 9% higher pre-market as crypto prices rebounded over the weekend. $ETH has advanced 8.4% over the past 24 hours.

The firm has steadily added to its treasury throughout the recent market downturn, even as unrealized losses on its position are estimated at around $6.5 billion, according to data from DropsTab.

Chairman Thomas "Tom" Lee said recent geopolitical tensions have not weighed on crypto prices as much as other assets.

"Since the start of the Iran war, crypto prices have outperformed and Ethereum has outperformed the S&P 500 by 2,450 basis points," Lee said in a statement. "In our view, higher oil is triggering concerns of slowing growth for the global economy. And when investors worry about growth, they buy 'growth stocks' including MAG7, software and crypto."

Bitmine continues to generate income from staking a large share of its ether holdings. The firm said it now earns about $180 million in annualized revenue from staking 3.04 million $ETH, with potential staking revenue reaching $272 million
