$GRVT While traders spent this week watching bitcoin $BTC$82,501.32 gyrate above $80,000 amid key U.S. inflation data, a decision from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission got far less attention.

The (SEC) approved the listing of binary options tied to key performance indicators (KPIs) of 23 U.S. publicly traded companies. The metrics include trading volume at crypto exchange Coinbase Global (COIN), customer count and revenue at Robinhood Markets (HOOD), and bitcoin production at mining firm MARA Holdings (MARA).

“For crypto, this creates a new way to trade crypto-linked company performance beyond betting directly on $BTC’s price,” Eleanor Terrett, the host of Crypto America, said on X. “The SEC approved this specific securities-options structure, while leaving room for differently structured contracts to fall under CFTC jurisdiction.”

A binary option is the simplest options contract, allowing traders to bet on a simple yes-or-no question, such as whether Coinbase's trading volume will exceed a set number by a specific date.

SEC Chairman Paul Atkins approved a rule change filed by Cboe Global Markets, according to a statement dated Oct. 13. The contracts are cash-settled and European-style, meaning they can only be exercised at expiration. They will settle on figures in companies' SEC filings, not numbers in earnings presentations.

Cboe plans to list the contracts this month, and Robinhood is expected to be the first brokerage to offer them to retail investors. Trading can't begin until Cboe Clear U.S., the clearing house, gets provisional registration, and a separate application is pending.

Atkins said the approval does not touch similar contracts overseen by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), such as those on prediction market platform Kalshi. He said agency turf fights have hindered innovation for decades, and the appro

But competition, regulation and real utility will decide the outcome.

🔥 HTX — THE STAGE WHERE POSSIBILITIES MEET

And then comes the conductor’s stage.

HTX — CELEBRATING 13 YEARS!

2013 → 2026.

Thirteen years of resilience.

Thirteen years of transformation.

Thirteen years in an industry that never stops evolving.

But imagine HTX in 2039.

AI-assisted financial services.

New digital asset markets.

Tokenized opportunities.

Web3 innovation.

Technologies that haven’t even been invented.

My prediction?

The most successful digital asset platforms may become much more than places to trade.

They could become gateways connecting people to an entirely new economy.

🚀 ALTCOINS — THE UNEXPECTED SOLOISTS

Now comes the wildest part.

Not every instrument deserves a place in the final orchestra.

Some altcoins will fade away.

Others may become essential technologies.

My highly speculative 2030 scenario:

Exceptional projects: 5×–15×

Rare breakthrough projects: potentially 20× or more

Weak projects: losses approaching 100%

And perhaps the greatest performer of 2039…

HAS NOT BEEN CREATED YET.

Then the orchestra suddenly stops.

Silence.

A single note begins to play.

Nobody recognizes it.

Not Bitcoin.

Not Ethereum.

Not XRP.

Not any existing altcoin.

The scientists call it:

THE 13TH FREQUENCY.

It represents something humanity hasn’t discovered yet.

Maybe AI agents creating autonomous economies.

Maybe tokenized ownership transforming global markets.

Maybe decentralized networks connecting billions of machines.

Maybe an entirely new form of digital value.

Or maybe something beyond our imagination.

And that’s when humanity realizes something extraordinary:

Will Death Cross Finalize on XRP?

$XRP trades at $1.34, and the chart has reached a critical point. The 50-day average, shown in blue, sits near $1.39. The 200-day average, in black, is just beneath it at about $1.38. The gap between them is tiny. If the blue line slips below the black one, the death cross is complete.

This signal has an ominous name, but it is slow. It reacts to price that has already fallen. $XRP dropped from $1.66 in late September to $1.34 now, and that decline is what pulled the 50-day line down. The cross would therefore confirm a move that has already happened, not predict a new one. Still, many traders watch it, and headlines can add selling pressure.

$YGG In their May 28 amended motion, the parties sought to vacate the consent order under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 60(b)(5), or alternatively lift its prospective provisions under Rule 60(b)(6). The CFTC said a review had exposed evidentiary weaknesses and inappropriate enforcement tactics, and that the complaint should not have been filed under its current standards.

Enforcement Shift Falls Short

Hellerstein ruled that the agency's revised approach, including policies following President Donald Trump's digital-assets executive order, represented a change in enforcement priorities rather than a significant change in law sufficient to reopen the judgment.

He also found that the internal materials obtained after settlement concerned facts that already existed when Gemini agreed to settle. Later knowledge of those facts did not establish changed circumstances, and the parties had not shown how the later disclosure prejudiced them, he wrote.

The judge rejected relief under Rule 60(b)(6) as well. Claims involving newly discovered evidence or misconduct belong under other provisions carrying a one-year deadline, he said; the catchall provision could not be used to bypass that limit. He also rejected the argument that regulatory pressure rendered Gemini's settlement involuntary, noting that it had counsel and expressly agreed to settle voluntarily.

The original consent order concerned statements and omissions from roughly July through December 2017 during the CFTC's review of a proposed Bitcoin futures contract. The contract would settle against a price determined by Gemini's auction, making the auction's susceptibility to manipulation relevant to the regulator's review.

The settlement found misleading statements or omissions concerning trading prefunding, self-trading safeguards, fee rebates and trading volume. Gemini entered the settlement w
