Hyperliquid price prediction: can HYPE hit a new ATH after $38 break?

Hyperliquid price rose to its highest level in over a month as it touched $38.08.

The $HYPE is up amid increased trading activity as open interest jumps to over $1.56 billion.

Technical indicators on the daily chart suggest a bullish continuation.

The Hyperliquid token climbed to a five-week high above $38 on Thursday, as renewed buying momentum strengthened the bullish push toward a potential new all-time high.

Although $HYPE had pulled back slightly from its intraday peak at the time of writing, the token was still up 17% over the past week and about 48% year-to-date.

The price move was accompanied by a sharp rise in trading activity, with 24-hour volume jumping 43% to more than $464 million.

The platform’s native token gained traction as Bitcoin held near the $70,000 level, while major altcoins also approached key technical levels.

What’s driving the $HYPE price up?

Bitcoin’s rally above $70,000 following Wednesday’s CPI data helped lift sentiment across the broader crypto market, even as geopolitical tensions continued to escalate.

Gains among major altcoins also provided momentum for smaller tokens such as Hyperliquid.

However, $HYPE appears particularly well positioned for a potential breakout as trading activity in the energy sector intensifies amid the escalating U.S.–Israel conflict with Iran.

Data from Coinglass shows that Hyperliquid’s open interest rose from $1.18 billion to more than $1.56 billion, marking a 32% increase between March 6 and March 12, 2026.

Much of this activity has been driven by traders entering futures positions as oil prices surged. Crude briefly climbed toward $120 before pulling back.

Even after the retreat, prices remain above $100, as the Strait of Hormuz blockade continues to disrupt a key global shipping route, with Iranian leaders insisting the waterway should remain closed.

Solana holds support, but cautious funding and muted momentum keep the outlook uncertain.

Solana’s (SOL) latest market watch shows a rebound that looks active on the surface but still lacks strong conviction underneath. SOL has gained about 0.7% over 24 hours, yet the broader performance profile remains weak, down 4.6% over 7 days and 1.7 over 14 days. 

Notably, the price recovered from the lower end around $84.52 and settled at the mid-range around $85.9. Futures volume stands at $13.2 billion, far above the spot volume of $779.3 million, while open interest remains elevated at $5.16 billion.

Lido launches stablecoin yield product to expand beyond ethe

Lido, the largest liquid staking protocol on Ethereum, is expanding beyond ether ($ETH) with the launch of a new product designed for stablecoin holders.

The project on Thursday introduced a revamped version of its yield product, Lido Earn, which now revolves around two vaults: EarnETH for ether-based assets and EarnUSD for stablecoins. The goal is to make it easier for users to earn returns on crypto without having to choose or manage strategies themselves.

In simple terms, a vault is a pooled investment tool where users deposit crypto and the platform automatically puts those funds to work across different strategies designed to generate yield.

The new EarnUSD vault marks Lido’s first product built specifically for dollar-pegged tokens. It accepts stablecoins USDC and USDT and automatically allocates deposits across a range of decentralized finance (DeFi) opportunities on Ethereum, such as lending markets and other yield-generating strategies. Users receive a token representing their share of the vault, with returns accumulating over time.

The EarnETH vault works similarly but for ether-related assets, including $ETH, WETH and Lido’s stETH. Deposits are spread across several DeFi protocols, including Aave, Uniswap and Morpho, with the system shifting funds toward strategies that are performing better.

The stablecoin vault comes as dollar-pegged tokens have become a major part of activity in Ethereum’s DeFi ecosystem. Roughly half of DeFi activity on the network now involves stablecoins, according to a press release shared with CoinDesk.

“Stablecoins are a fundamental part of DeFi, and until now we weren’t serving those users,” said Marin Tvrdić of the Lido Ecosystem Foundation, in the press release.
