Yet, the narrative doesn't match the numbers. October's drawdown from $126,000 to $80,500 felt brutal, and the tariff-driven liquidation on Oct. 10 wiped $19 billion in leveraged longs in a single day.

The paradox: Bitcoin became less volatile by traditional measures while attracting larger capital flows and delivering larger absolute price swings than in prior cycles.

Low volatility doesn't mean “nothing is happening.” It means the market has grown deep enough to absorb institutional-scale flows without the reflexive feedback loops that defined earlier cycles.

ETFs, corporate treasuries, and regulated custodians now anchor liquidity. Long-term holders have been redistributing supply into that infrastructure.

The result: smoother daily returns, but with multi-hundred-billion-dollar swings in market cap that would have triggered 80% crashes in 2018 or 2021.

Houston-based Solo Satoshi announced the launch of the Bitaxe Turbo Touch, a compact device designed for hobbyists and home miners.





A small Texas mining hardware company is releasing what it says is the most powerful open-source touchscreen bitcoin miner currently available to home users.

Houston-based Solo Satoshi announced the launch of the Bitaxe Turbo Touch, a compact device designed for hobbyists and home miners that delivers more than double the hashrate of other touchscreen miners in its category.

According to a note shared with Bitcoin Magazine, the unit produces about 2.15 terahashes per second (TH/s).

The product builds on the open-source Bitaxe GT 801 platform and is powered by dual BM1370 ASIC chips, the same chips used in the industrial-scale Bitmain Antminer S21 Pro. The chips allow the device to achieve efficiency of roughly 18 joules per terahash, according to the company. During testing, the device reportedly reached over 3 TH/s when overclocked.

The miner includes a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen that displays real-time network and mining data. Eight rotating displays show metrics such as hashrate performance, bitcoin price, current block height and recently mined blocks.

Banking Committee Markup Hinges On Tillis
According to a Thursday update from journalist Eleanor Terrett of Crypto In America, one Republican senator may now hold decisive influence over the CLARITY Act’s next steps in the Senate Banking Committee.

Terrett reported that Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina appears to be central to resolving the ongoing dispute over stablecoin yield and reward programs.

Tillis had previously emerged as a potential holdout in January when the Senate Banking Committee was preparing to mark up the bill. Amendments introduced by Tillis sought to narrow the scope of rewards that crypto firms could offer on stablecoins.

US-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase later cited those proposed changes as one of several reasons it withdrew its support for the legislation at the time, underscoring how sensitive the yield issue has become for the industry.

While the Senate Agriculture Committee approved its portion of the CLARITY Act framework in January, the Banking Committee has yet to complete its markup — a necessary step before the bill can advance further.

In an X post on March 6, independent journalist Eleanor Terrett reports that Senator Cruz has filed an amendment to the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, which seeks to remove the sunset provision on a central bank digital currency prohibition.

The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act represents a bipartisan bill introduced in August 12026, aimed at boosting the US housing supply through zoning reforms and incentives. However, the bill carries a vehicle attachment by Senator Tim Scott and Senator Elizabeth Warren that proposes a sunset provision that enforces a CBDC ban until December 31, 2030.
