Bitcoin is pushing higher after clearing a resistance level, but one analyst is pumping the brakes before calling it a confirmed rally. 

The analyst’s core position has not shifted in weeks. Bitcoin is currently in a counter-trend bounce, meaning it is moving against the dominant direction of the market rather than with it. 

Counter-trend moves can look and feel like real bull runs. They can be sharp, convincing, and even reach new all-time highs in extreme cases. But they do not signal the larger correction is over. 

The number every Bitcoin trader needs to know right now is $74,460.

Bitcoin has not broken above it yet. Until it does, the range trade remains intact and the rally remains unconfirmed. A clean break and hold above $74,460 would shift the probability meaningfully toward higher targets. Below it, the sideways grind that has frustrated the market for weeks simply continues.

Path 1: Bitcoin stalls near $74,400, shows weakness, and revisits lower range support before attempting another push higher. The counter-trend move extends and drags on further.

Path 2 (Faster): The bottom was already set on February 24. Bitcoin pushes directly toward $78,500, provided the swing low at $69,360 holds. Losing that level invalidates this path immediately.

Path 3 (Bear case): Range support breaks and Bitcoin drops toward $55,000 to $56,000. The analyst considers this unlikely right now but refuses to dismiss it entirely.

If bulls clear $74,460 decisively, the broader target zone opens up between $86,600 and $94,436, with a new all-time high possible in an extreme scenario.

The most telling observation has nothing to do with price. Crypto influencers, community leaders, and prominent traders have quietly stopped talking about Bitcoin. Attention has shifted to gold, silver, and oil. The noise has gone silent.

Ledger Researchers Expose Android Flaw Enabling Wallet Seed Theft
Your Android phone might be handing over your crypto wallet in under 60 seconds.

Ledger’s own security team just exposed a hardware flaw in MediaTek chips that lets anyone with physical access to your phone pull your PIN and seed phrase before your phone even boots. USB cable, done. No software patch can fix it either. It is baked into the chip.

The Dimensity 7300 is the chip in question. It affects roughly 25% of all Android devices. Even the Solana Seeker phone is on the list.
MediaTek was told about this back in May 2025. The fix? There is not one. If you have the chip, you have the vulnerability.

For anyone storing real money on a mobile wallet, this one hurts.

How the Boot ROM Exploit Bypasses Android Security

The flaw lives in the boot ROM. That is the code burned into the chip at the factory. It cannot be updated. Ever.
Ledger’s team used electromagnetic pulses to mess with the chip mid-startup. Perfectly timed voltage glitches that force the processor to skip its own security checks. Once that happens, the attacker hits EL3 privilege.

That is the highest level of control possible on ARM architecture. Full access. Game over.

In testing, they pulled it off in about 1 second per attempt.
From there, the entire data partition gets decrypted offline. Private keys, PINs, everything your trusted execution environment was supposed to protect. Gone.

No app-level security saves you here. The foundation itself is broken.

Two weeks into a Middle Eastern war and bitcoin is higher than where it started.

The largest cryptocurrency was trading at $71,000 on Saturday morning, down 0.7% over the past 24 hours after the U.S. bombed military targets on Kharg Island, Iran's main crude export facility.

The reversal from Friday's $73,838 high was sharp but contained. Bitcoin gave back 3.5% on the Kharg headlines and stopped. A month ago, a comparable escalation would have triggered a much deeper sell-off.

The weekly numbers tell the resilience story. Bitcoin is up 4.2% over seven days. Ether gained 5.5% to $2,090. Dogecoin added 5%. Solana rose 4.2% to $88. BNB climbed 4.5% to $655. Every major is green on the week despite the war intensifying, not easing.

The market is adapting to the conflict in real time. Early in the war, every headline produced an outsized reaction because nobody could price the tail risk. Now, traders have a framework, where strikes happen, oil spikes and bitcoin dips only to recover again.

The pattern has repeated enough times that the reflexive sell-the-headline impulse has faded. However, the $73,000-$74,000 resistance level stays in place, and has now rejected bitcoin four times in two weeks.

Trump's language on Kharg Island added a new variable in the markets.

In a Truth Social post late Friday, he said he spared oil infrastructure "for reasons of decency" but would "immediately reconsider" if Iran continued blocking the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran responded that any strike on energy infrastructure would trigger retaliatory attacks on U.S.-linked facilities in the region. That's a conditional escalation threat that didn't exist 48 hours ago. If oil infrastructure becomes a target, the supply disruption, which the IEA already called the largest in

Bitcoin Miners’ AI Shift May Create New Overhang, Lekker Capital CIO Warns

Lekker Capital CIO Quinn Thompson argues on X that collapsing mining economics, combined with a growing shift by public miners toward AI and high-performance compute, could turn corporate $BTC treasuries into a fresh source of market supply.

“A large underappreciated headwind for Bitcoin is the disaster that which is mining economics. The only way this heals is through a decline in hashrate, which is being spearheaded by the AI compute first movers like CORZ, WULF, CIFR, IREN, etc.,” Thompson wrote.

The chart Thompson shared, frames the problem visually. It shows aggregate bitcoin holdings across major listed miners climbing sharply through 2024 and 2025 before rolling over in 2026. Thompson’s argument is not that the AI pivot is bearish in structural terms.

On the contrary, lower hashrate and less uneconomic competition could improve mining industry health over time. His point is that the transition itself is expensive, and that capex-heavy AI buildouts may force miners to liquidate $BTC that had previously been treated as strategic treasury.

“While helpful to long-term health and sustainability of the network economics, it presents a dilemma for prices in the near-term as Bitcoin miners hold almost 80,000 Bitcoin on their balance sheets. As these companies pivot away from $BTC mining, they 1) need capital to fund the AI buildout capex requirements and 2) have no reason to hold any $BTC on their balance sheet (not that they should have before either),” he argued.
