Air freight prices are rising sharply, by as much as 82% on some routes, according to figures from Israeli company (Nasdaq: CRGO), which monitors air and sea shipping prices. The rise is attributed to the rising cost of jet fuel and to the partial closure of the major airports of Dubai and Doha. The price rises are mainly affecting shipments of drugs from India, electrical and electronic products, and the fashion and clothing industry.Iran’s closure of the Straits of Hormuz, through which 20% of the world’s oil supplies pass in normal times, has caused the price of oil to jump. Consequently, the price of jet fuel has risen by 83% within a month, and by 94% in comparison with last year, according to reports by IATA (the International Air Transport Association).In addition, the global air freight industry is under operational pressures. In recent years, the Gulf states have established themselves as a hub for flights and trade between Europe and Asia, particularly Dubai in the UAE and Doha in Qatar. Iranian UAVs have hit Dubai Airport, leading the Australian government to issue a warning against travel to Dubai, including for connecting flights. Hamad International Airport in Doha is also operating on a restricted schedule.The combination of these factors has led to a steep rise in air freight prices on all routes. On some the situation is very severe: flights from South Asia to Europe that fly directly above the Persian Gulf have become 82% more costly than before the war, and flights from South Asia to North America have also risen in price, to $6.42 per kilogram, which compares with $4.05 per kilogram before the war. Coinbase XRP Orderbook Shows It Is Now 9x Easier to Push XRP to $2.25 Than $

The $XRP orderbook on Coinbase shows it is now about nine times easier to push $XRP to $2.25 from the current price than to take it to $0.75.

The current $XRP orderbook structure shows an imbalance that favors upward movement. Data reveals that buy-side liquidity massively outweighs sell-side liquidity within a 50% price range, making it relatively easier to push $XRP from the current price of $1.5 to $2.25 than it is to take it to $0.75.

Key Points

The $XRP orderbook on Coinbase shows a 9:1 bid-to-ask ratio within a 50% price range at $1.5, marking the strongest buy-side skew in nearly one year.

Sell-side liquidity above $1.50 up to $2 remains thin, leaving a relatively open path toward higher price levels.

Meanwhile, $XRP sees strong and layered buy walls below $1.5, especially between $1.4 and $1.2, that could cushion any price declines.

As a result, driving the $XRP price from $1.5 to $2.25 is currently 9x easier than pushing it to $0.75.

$XRP Faces Weak Resistance and Strong Support

This is according to recent data shared by order book expert Dom. Notably, his accompanying Coinbase chart covers the period from March 13 to March 17, showing four days of price movement and liquidity activity, as $XRP initially dropped toward $1.45 before recovering to trade above the $1.53 level.

Data from the orderbook heatmap indicates that above the current price, the area between $1.5 and $2 shows few sell orders. The lack of resistance suggests that the price can move upward more easily, as there are fewer barriers to slow it down.

Beyond the price chart, derivatives market data is beginning to reflect a notable structural shift. According to top analyst Axel Adler, Bitcoin’s Integrated Market Index, a model designed to measure aggregate pressure from the derivatives market, has recently flipped back into a bullish regime.

The indicator operates on a 0–100 scale and combines normalized metrics of price behavior and futures market flows. Readings above 55 typically indicate a bullish regime, while values below 45 suggest bearish conditions.

From February 15 onward, the model remained firmly in a bear regime. During that period, both price dynamics and futures market flows deteriorated simultaneously as sustained negative net taker volume and compression in open interest pushed the Flow Index below the bearish threshold. As Bitcoin’s price dropped toward $63,000, the Integrated Index reached its lowest levels.

However, the structure shifted on March 10, when taker flow reversed, and open interest began expanding again. Since that moment, the model has remained firmly bullish, with the index currently standing at 96, its highest level in weeks.
