Dogecoin Price Forecast for Mar 13: What's Next as DOGE Tests Decade-Long Support Again?

Dogecoin rebounded as buyers defended a decade-long support trendline, with traders watching whether renewed momentum can drive a stronger breakout.

Dogecoin (DOGE) opened the session on firmer footing and gradually built momentum before a sudden burst of buying pushed it into a higher intraday range. After touching a local peak at $0.098, DOGE pulled back slightly to $0.09708 but continued to trade well above its earlier lows.

The move leaves the memecoin up roughly 3.7% on the day, a sign that short-term sentiment has improved even as its wider trend remains under pressure.

Bitcoin traded lower after January producer inflation came in above consensus. That sets up a longer stretch in which rate expectations may steer crypto pricing ahead of the next producer price index (PPI) print on March 18.

January PPI inflation was 2.9% year over year, above the 2.6% consensus estimate. Core PPI (excluding food and energy) at 3.6% year over year versus 3.0% consensus.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the PPI for final demand rose 0.5% month over month on a seasonally adjusted basis and 2.9% year over year on an unadjusted basis.

This Thursday, Metaplanet announced the launch of its new venture capital and asset management divisions. Through these, approximately 4 billion yen will be allocated to the development of Bitcoin infrastructure, with funds channeled via Metaplanet Ventures and Metaplanet Asset Management to finance startups, project incubators, and open-source grants over the next three years.


The Tokyo-listed firm seeks to consolidate Japan as a central hub for digital asset companies, focusing on critical segments such as payments, custody, and BTC derivatives. Although Metaplanet reported annual losses of $605 million due to market volatility, its CEO, Simon Gerovich, maintains that after establishing a solid regulatory framework, the country now requires the technical infrastructure to lead the industry. The initiative aims to diversify the company’s revenue streams and reduce its direct exposure to token prices.

In summary, Metaplanet is betting on the long-term growth of the Japanese Bitcoin ecosystem by investing in local talent and infrastructure.

Despite the geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, rising oil prices, Billionaire investor Anthony Scaramucci has made a bold long-term prediction for Bitcoin, saying the asset could eventually reach $1.5 million per coin. Speaking on the PBD Podcast, the founder of SkyBridge Capital revealed that Bitcoin remains his largest investment position.

“Bitcoin is my largest position by far… and I’ve added recently,” Scaramucci said during the discussion, signaling continued confidence in the digital asset despite market volatility.

His outlook is rooted in the belief that Bitcoin will gradually become a global store of value, competing directly with traditional assets like gold. 

Scaramucci explained that his price target is based on Bitcoin eventually reaching the market capitalization of gold. If Bitcoin were to match gold’s valuation, the cryptocurrency’s total market cap could reach tens of trillions of dollars, implying a price close to $1.5 million per BTC.

However, he stressed that this transformation will take time.

“I think it’s going to be the market capitalization of gold, but I think it’s going to take about 15 years to get there. It’s not going to happen overnight,” he said.

According to Scaramucci, Bitcoin’s fixed supply of 21 million coins makes it uniquely positioned to absorb growing demand as investors look for alternatives to traditional currencies.

Moving on, he also noted that the large institutions are steadily accumulating Bitcoin. Scaramucci pointed to aggressive buying by Michael Saylor and his company, Strategy, as an example of how institutional demand is impacting supply dynamics.

At times, Saylor’s firm has been purchasing more Bitcoin than the network produces daily through mining, tightening the available supply on the market.

Institutional players are beginning to experiment with blockchain infrastructure for tokenized funds, credit markets, and traditional financial instruments. And when they choose where to build, Ethereum keeps coming out on top in that category.

Despite increasing competition from faster and cheaper networks like Solana, Ethereum still dominates the RWA ecosystem. The network currently controls more than 57% of the tokenized asset market and supports roughly 675 tokenization projects.

Some activity is spreading elsewhere. Solana recently surpassed Ethereum in total RWA holders, with around 157,682 addresses interacting with these assets.
When it comes to where serious financial infrastructure is being deployed, Ethereum still appears to be the preferred foundation.

Large institutions seem to value their security, liquidity, and developer ecosystem. JPMorgan, for example, launched its first tokenized money market fund on Ethereum, reinforcing the network’s growing role in traditional finance experiments.
