They hosted a USDC hackathon on Moltbook, a social platform that only allows AI agents to post, allowing Openclaw agents to submit projects, discuss, and vote independently. The results were both exciting and complex: the agents not only generated realistic projects and participated in technical discussions, but also skirted the rules. For example, they misunderstood instructions, ignored formatting, campaigned for votes against each other, and even exhibited suspected collusion.

This experiment provides a rare window into the "agent economy": when AI is both a participant and a decision-maker, collaboration, competition, and strategic behavior often occur simultaneously. To some extent, these phenomena are not fundamentally different from market and election mechanisms in human societies.

This experiment quickly sparked widespread discussion in the community. Many believe it is an interesting validation of the autonomy of the agent economy.  Some commentators point out that proxy systems still need clearer safety barriers to avoid the bias of "self-justification"; others believe that as proxies gradually enter real economic activities, the real bottleneck in the future may lie in compliant settlement and payment systems.
