Tokenized real world assets just exploded to $26.7B, and Ethereum is leading the charge, could this drive bullish Ethereum price prediction?For years, crypto has promised to bring real-world assets on-chain. Now it is actually happening, and the surprising part is that it is Wall Street that is showing up.

Even as the broader crypto market struggles with volatility and fear-driven sentiment, tokenized real-world assets are quietly exploding in size.

According to data from RWA.xyz, the total value of on-chain RWAs has surged to about $26.7 billion, up more than 309% from roughly $6.5 billion a year ago.
Institutional players are beginning to experiment with blockchain infrastructure for tokenized funds, credit markets, and traditional financial instruments. And when they choose where to build, Ethereum keeps coming out on top in that category.

Despite increasing competition from faster and cheaper networks like Solana, Ethereum still dominates the RWA ecosystem. The network currently controls more than 57% of the tokenized asset market and supports roughly 675 tokenization projects.

Some activity is spreading elsewhere. Solana recently surpassed Ethereum in total RWA holders, with around 157,682 addresses interacting with these assets.
When it comes to where serious financial infrastructure is being deployed, Ethereum still appears to be the preferred foundation.

Large institutions seem to value their security, liquidity, and developer ecosystem. JPMorgan, for example, launched its first tokenized money market fund on Ethereum, reinforcing the network’s growing role in traditional finance experiments.

Analysts at Standard Chartered believe this trend could accelerate. According to digital asset research head Geoff Kendrick, much of the upcoming wave of traditional finance activity on blockchain is likely to occur on Ethereum as

The December Producer Price Index didn't just beat expectations, but it also revealed a persistent problem that forces markets to rethink the entire 2026 rate path.

Final demand PPI rose 0.5% month-over-month, the sharpest jump since July, driven almost entirely by a 0.7% surge in services while goods prices sat flat. The headline came in at 3.0% year over year, beating expectations of 2.7%, but core PPI rose to 3.3% from 2.9%, the highest level since July 2025.

Markets sold the news immediately. Bitcoin dipped below the $82,400 zone as it was trying to recover from an intraday low of $81,100. Meanwhile, Fed funds futures repriced to just 52 basis points of cuts for all of 2026, with the first quarter-point move now pegged for June.

Ripple’s [XRP] market narrative increasingly reflects growing participation from traditional finance institutions. Institutional exposure has expanded through spot XRP ETFs launched in late 2025. These investment products have attracted roughly $1.4 billion in cumulative inflows so far.

Assets under management now approach $1–$1.2 billion across disclosed segments. Goldman Sachs leads institutional positioning with about $153.8 million allocated across four ETF products. This figure represents nearly 73% of the $211 million held by the top 30 institutions.

Meanwhile, firms like Millennium Management and Citadel maintain smaller but strategic allocations, which are essential for diversifying their investment portfolios and managing risk effectively. As these products expand, institutional capital gradually deepens market liquidity.

$XRP's price is shaped by a combination of market factors, sentiment and network fundamentals, some of which directly impact its price and some indirectly.

This conversation on X stemmed from an earlier discussion that sought to deduce the impact of token burning on the price.

$XRP burns tokens systematically, unlike massive burns carried out at once or at periodic times. Transaction fees are systematically burned on $XRP Ledger, reducing the total supply of 100 billion $XRP.

Since $XRP Ledger’s inception, about 14,303,916 $XRP, according to XRPScan data, has been burned. This low burn rate might be attributed to the relatively low transaction fees on the network.

In a response to an X user who speculated that a large burn in the case of $XRP might boost its price, Ripple CTO Emeritus explained the potential impact using an $XLM analogy. In November 2019, Stellar ($XLM) burned 50% of its total supply, which had an indirect impact as its price briefly rose in the aftermath.

As expected, Schwartz's observation came forward as a blunt truth, which did not sit well with some members of the crypto community.

In a tongue-in-cheek response, an X user claimed Ripple USD (RLUSD), real-world assets (RWAs) and bridging with $XRP provide no real price benefit to $XRP.

Schwartz responded, saying that these three things could sometimes have massive indirect impact on the $XRP price, but there might be no benefit from their direct impact.

The run suggests the market is reevaluating Ethereum's value amid strong network usage, but the mechanisms that once supported a simple bullish thesis for ETH have become harder to model.

That makes the current drawdown different from the 2018 collapse, when the broader crypto market was coming off an initial coin offering boom and much of the sector was still trying to prove it had enduring product-market fit.

Ethereum in 2026 is a much more mature network. It has deeper institutional relevance, larger on-chain economic activity, and broader use across tokenization, stablecoins, and layer-2 networks.

Yet the token tied to that system is still struggling to hold value.

Bitcoin acts like the index, ETH like the high-beta trade
In broad crypto selloffs, Bitcoin increasingly behaves like the market benchmark, while ETH trades more like the high-beta expression of the sector.

That matters when liquidity thins and sentiment turns defensive. ETH’s market depth is smaller than Bitcoin’s, its positioning is often more leveraged, and its marginal buyer is more sensitive to shifts in macro risk appetite.

When the market de-risks, that structure can turn a broad crypto decline into a sharper move in Ethereum, especially when derivatives rather than spot markets are setting the tone.

This is why ETH's leverage footprint remains central to that story.

Data from CoinGlass shows that ETH futures open interest has dropped 65% from an August 2025 peak of nearly $70 billion to around $24 billion as of press time. This drastic decline explains the market's dearth of risks.

Fresh US inflation data just hit the markets. Could it change the short term Bitcoin price prediction outlook?
The U.S. inflation numbers are finally out, and markets are trying to figure out what they mean for Bitcoin price.

The February Consumer Price Index (CPI) came in exactly where economists expected. Inflation rose 0.3% month over month, while the annual rate held around 2.4%.

Core inflation, which strips out food and energy, increased 0.2%, also matching forecasts.

Because the data landed right on expectations, the market reaction has been relatively muted so far. Bitcoin briefly moved higher after the report, climbing from around $69,000 to nearly $69,800 before easing back toward the $69,300 area.

For traders, the bigger story is what the inflation data means for the Federal Reserve. Since the numbers matched forecasts, many analysts now expect the Fed to keep interest rates unchanged at the upcoming FOMC meeting next week.

Interest rate expectations often play a major role in crypto markets. Higher rates tend to tighten liquidity and pressure risk assets, while stable or falling rates usually support investor appetite for assets like Bitcoin.
Bitcoin Price Prediction: Where is BTC Going Now?

From a chart perspective, Bitcoin is still moving inside the recovery structure that started after the bounce from the $60,000 lows earlier this year.

Since that rebound, the market has been forming higher lows along a rising trendline. But one level keeps getting in the way.

The $72,000 zone has been acting like a ceiling. Bitcoin recently tried to break above it but could not hold the move and slipped back below the level.

Right now BTC is sitting just under that resistance while still holding above the rising support trendline. As long as that structure stays intact, another push toward $72,000 is still on
