Bitcoin has slipped below the $70,000 support level, declining about 4.8% over the past seven days and trading near $69,385 at the time of writing. The asset now sits roughly 29% below its year-to-date high of around $97,500 and approximately 45% below its all-time high, reflecting continued pressure on the broader crypto market.

Macroeconomic conditions remain a key factor influencing investor sentiment. The latest U.S. core CPI data came in line with market expectations, reinforcing the likelihood that the Federal Reserve may maintain elevated interest rates for a longer period. According to CME FedWatch data, there is a 99.3% probability that rates will remain unchanged at the March FOMC meeting, while expectations for an April rate cut have declined significantly.

At the same time, U.S. Treasury yields have continued to rise, making traditional fixed-income assets more attractive compared to higher-risk investments. Higher yields tend to reduce liquidity in speculative markets, which can place additional pressure on assets such as cryptocurrencies.

From a technical perspective, traders are closely watching the $68,500 support level after Bitcoin dropped below the $70,000 threshold. If selling pressure continues, analysts suggest the next potential downside target could be the $65,000 support zone, which may act as the next key level for market participants.

Solana Surpasses Ethereum in RWA Holders

Solana posted on the X platform that data from RWA.xyz shows the network has surpassed Ethereum in total RWA holders for the first time. SOL currently has 157,112 RWA holders, compared to Ethereum's 153,592. Notably, the Plume network leads all networks with 263,132 RWA holders, despite having a lower total RWA value than both Ethereum and Solana.

Over the past 30 days, Plume's RWA holder count has decreased by nearly 3%, while Ethereum and SOL have increased by 8% and 7%, respectively. Although SOL has surpassed Ethereum in total RWA holders, Ethereum still leads with a total RWA value of $15.4 billion (excluding stablecoins).

The Solana network's total RWA value is $1.8 billion, lagging behind networks like the BNB chain and XRP Ledger (XRPL). Furthermore, Ethereum leads Solana with 675 tokenized projects compared to Solana's 345. The largest projects on Ethereum are Tether Gold, Paxos Gold, Syrup USDC, and BlackRock's BUIDL Fund.

The largest projects on Solana are BlackRock's BUIDL Fund, PRIME, Ondo Tokenization Fund, and OnRe Tokenization Reinsurance. However, it's worth noting that Ethereum and Solana still lag behind Arbitrum in the number of tokenized projects on their networks. Arbitrum currently has 1,763 RWA projects, but still trails Ethereum and Solana in both total RWA value and number of holders.

SOL Emerges in the Stablecoin Sector

Data shared by Visa shows that the Solana network surpassed Ethereum in stablecoin trading volume last month.  SOL recorded a stablecoin trading volume of $660.64 billion, while Ethereum's stablecoin trading volume in February was $548.82 billion.

Robert Mitchnick, Head of Digital Assets at BlackRock, the world’s largest asset management company, made exclusive statements about the company’s new staking-backed Ethereum ETF (ETHB). Mitchnick stated that this new product is a “golden key” for institutional investors.

Mitchnick, highlighting the fundamental differences between Bitcoin and Ethereum, stated that Bitcoin is positioned as “digital gold” and an alternative currency, while Ethereum is a technology-focused investment based on blockchain innovation. He noted that ETHB offers investors the opportunity to share not only in price increases but also in the economic functioning of the network (staking).

Mitchnick, noting that the launch of Bitcoin ETFs (IBITs) has provided a great convenience for investors, said, “An Ethereum ETF with added staking features becomes a clear solution that allows investors to access Ethereum in the easiest and most cost-effective way.”

Mitchnick noted that despite the volatility in the crypto markets, ETF investors have a long-term perspective, pointing out that even when the Bitcoin price fell by nearly 50% from its peak, inflows into IBIT (BlackRock Bitcoin ETF) remained positive. According to 2025 data, IBIT was the only fund among the top 20 most injected ETFs worldwide that appeared on the list despite negative returns.

Mitchnick stated that approximately 90% of ETF investors consist of financial advisors, individual investors, and institutional funds, and that this group tends to accumulate by “buying at the dip.” He added that the remaining 10% are generally hedge funds that arbitrage with futures contracts.
