Polymarket US, run by QCX LLC as a CFTC-designated contract market, has $761.59 million in Cumulative Notional Volume with transactions surpassing 5 million. Yesterday also saw the highest number of unique tickers traded on the app, about 524. Open interest currently stands at $1.42M, down from a peak of $2.6M.

But in France, it now fits a pattern serious enough to rattle the industry, draw the interior minister into the fray, and push executives toward bodyguards and tighter personal security measures.

This signals a broader trend: crypto security is becoming a key concern for physical security.

The March 2026 Le Chesnay-Rocquencourt case, in which three men posing as police allegedly coerced the couple into authorizing the transfer, is the latest data point in what French authorities now call a “new criminal phenomenon.”

With this downward price action, $XRP has been trading inside a descending channel since it dropped from the $3.6 peak in July 2025.

$XRP retested the upper trendline of the channel when it rose to $2.4 in January 2026 and retested the lower channel when it dropped to $1.11 in February 2026.

Amid the ongoing downtrend, historical data suggests steeper declines could be possible for $XRP, possibly leading below the $1 mark to again retest the channel’s lower trendline.

However, after this, the ensuing recovery could result in a breakout above the channel, possibly leading to $8.6 by the end of the year.

$XRP Trades Within Descending Channel

Celal Küçüker, a well-known chartist, called attention to this channel structure during his latest $XRP analysis. For context, the lower trendline of the channel started forming after $XRP pulled back from the $3.4 peak in January 2025, and acted as resistance for over six months, until $XRP broke above it in July to reach the $3.6 all-time high.

Volumes registered by CoinGecko point to a more than 4x increase from Wednesday to Thursday with trading numbers breaching $292 million on the day of the announcement, compared to just $72 million worth of trades the day before.
On a rolling basis over the last 24 hours, however, CoinGecko recently showed $1.78 billion worth of trading volume. And on its significant price spike, some traders have seen major gains in the last 24 hours.

A Solana address with no significant on-chain activity in the last five months was flagged by on-chain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence after it was sent 2.2 million TRUMP tokens, valued around over $8 million at present time.
