The broader outlook remains bearish, with $BTC still trading far below its all-time high of over $126,000 reached last October. Analysts have highlighted several key resistance levels that must be reclaimed before bulls can regain full control.

More Gains Ahead?

The impressive revival comes on the back of Donald Trump’s recent remarks that Iran is “about to surrender” as well as the reports that the newly elected leader of the Asian country, Mojtaba Khamenei (who is the son of the late Ali Khamenei), is “likely disfigured.”

$BTC’s pump has caught the attention of multiple market observers, and some expect the rally to go on in the short term. X user Ted noted that Coinbase Premium is rising, indicating solid spot demand. He believes that holding above the $70,000 zone could lead to further gains of around $76,000.

The analyst who goes by the moniker Ardi on X claimed that the leading digital asset needs to flip the $74,000 resistance into support to actually “start looking macro bullish again.” If it could achieve that, the valuation might surge to $85,000, he added. At the same time, he warned that anything below that mark is “just price setting a macro lower high in a downtrend.”

Certain indicators suggest the asset could continue marching north. Data from SoSoValue show that over the past few days, inflows into spot $BTC ETFs have outpaced outflows. This is a clear bullish factor that displays that institutional investors, such as pension funds, hedge funds, and asset managers, have been increasing their exposure to cryptocurrency. FUD meets funding! Why Bitcoin's immunity against geopolitical risks might be running out

When sentiment diverges from reality, the market usually hits speculative positions first.

Notably, that’s exactly how the market is positioned right now. According to Coinglass, the market liquidated nearly $140 million in short positions on 13 March, marking the second-largest short squeeze since the West Asian crisis kicked off two weeks ago.

From a technical perspective, the crypto market has clearly diverged from the broader macro FUD. Around $150 billion has flowed into digital assets so far this week, even with roughly one-third of the week still left to go. However, as the gap between sentiment and reality continues to widen, the key question now is – Will the crypto market keep pushing in this direction?

Lekker Capital CIO Quinn Thompson argues on X that collapsing mining economics, combined with a growing shift by public miners toward AI and high-performance compute, could turn corporate $BTC treasuries into a fresh source of market supply.

“A large underappreciated headwind for Bitcoin is the disaster that which is mining economics. The only way this heals is through a decline in hashrate, which is being spearheaded by the AI compute first movers like CORZ, WULF, CIFR, IREN, etc.,” Thompson wrote.

The chart Thompson shared, frames the problem visually. It shows aggregate bitcoin holdings across major listed miners climbing sharply through 2024 and 2025 before rolling over in 2026. Thompson’s argument is not that the AI pivot is bearish in structural terms.

On the contrary, lower hashrate and less uneconomic competition could improve mining industry health over time. His point is that the transition itself is expensive, and that capex-heavy AI buildouts may force miners to liquidate $BTC that had previously been treated as strategic treasury.

“While helpful to long-term health and sustainability of the network economics, it presents a dilemma for prices in the near-term as Bitcoin miners hold almost 80,000 Bitcoin on their balance sheets. As these companies pivot away from $BTC mining, they 1) need capital to fund the AI buildout capex requirements and 2) have no reason to hold any $BTC on their balance sheet (not that they should have before either),” he argued.

Prominent Analyst Outlines Bullish Roadmap for Crypto Market in 2026

A bullish market roadmap for 2026 shared by crypto analyst Rekt Fencer is gaining attention. Fencer’s timeline suggests the crypto market may already be transitioning out of its latest corrective phase.

According to the analyst, the market likely bottomed in March, marked by disbelief among investors who remain skeptical after a prolonged downturn. From that point, the forecast suggests the market enters the early recovery phase in April, when cautious optimism slowly returns and traders start reentering positions.

The roadmap then projects a stronger shift in sentiment between May and June, when assets such as Bitcoin and the emerging token Hyperliquid (HYPE) could reach new all-time highs if momentum continues to build.

During this stage, investor psychology is expected to transition from optimism to full belief, as market participants become confident that a sustained rally is underway.

The most explosive phase, according to the projection, could arrive between July and September. During that period, Fencer expects alternative cryptocurrencies to deliver massive returns, with some altcoins potentially climbing 10 to 50 times from their cycle lows.

At that stage of the cycle, sentiment typically shifts toward thrill and euphoria, with traders beginning to add leveraged positions and aggressively promoting the rally.

The model follows a classic market psychology curve that often appears during speculative cycles. After the euphoric peak, markets tend to move through complacency, anxiety, and denial before panic selling sets in. Later stages often include anger and depression among investors before the cycle resets and disbelief returns ahead of the next rally.

Rekt Fencer has previously cited macro signals in support of the bullish thesis.
