While policymakers in Washington continue to debate the future of digital asset yields, major companies are already moving forward.

Insurance broker Aon recently executed what may be the first stablecoin-based insurance premium payments by a large global broker.

Instead of relying on traditional bank transfers that can take several days to settle, Aon used USDC on Ethereum and PYUSD on Solana, completing the payments within minutes.

Aon carried out the transactions in partnership with Coinbase and Paxos, following the framework introduced under the GENIUS Act of 2025.

It came just a week after the 1st of March deadline to reach a compromise on the CLARITY Act compromise failed, leaving banks and crypto firms divided on how stablecoin rewards should be regulated.

By moving insurance premium payments on-chain now, Aon is showing that real-world stablecoin adoption is already underway.

Even as lawmakers continue debating policy, stablecoins are beginning to change how financial transactions take place in industries like insurance.

Aon’s move is also part of a larger trend in the financial system. Stablecoins are growing quickly as a way to move money digitally.

Stablecoin market dynamics

According to the Cambridge Digital Money Dashboard, the total supply of stablecoins reached nearly $270 billion by the 10th of March.

This is a huge jump compared to 2019, when stablecoins were still small and not widely used.

While USDT still holds the largest share of the stablecoin market, USDC is also putting pressure on USDT’s market dominance.

This coincided with the monthly Stablecoin Transaction Volume by Stablecoin, crossing $1.7 trillion as per Visa on-chain analytics data.

Therefore, for institutions like Aon, the decision between stablecoins comes down to transaction speed and network scalability.

Solana price looks calm near $87, but $540M in institutional ETF exposure is quietly building, can this fuel very bullish price prediction?
Solana price is moving quietly right now, but the money behind it is getting louder.

SOL is trading around $87 and has barely moved over the last day. On the surface, the market looks calm. But behind the scenes, institutional investors are building serious exposure.

New filings show that about 30 major institutions now hold roughly $540 million in Solana ETF positions. Firms like Electric Capital and Goldman Sachs are among the biggest players stacking exposure.

That creates an interesting disconnect. Price action looks slow, but big money is quietly accumulating.

Now the big question is simple. If selling pressure returns, will this $540 million wave of institutional demand be enough to defend the key $80 support zone?

Solana Price Prediction: Can SOL Hold $80 and Target $100 In March?

The chart is not as confident as the institutional money just yet.
Solana is trading around $88, and technically, the setup still looks fragile. A head and shoulders pattern already broke earlier this year when price lost the $107 neckline, opening the door for more downside.Right now, everything revolves around the $80 level. That zone has already stopped several selloffs, but every test weakens it a little more. If $80 finally breaks, the next downside targets could quickly appear near $64 or even $59.

For bulls to flip the narrative, SOL needs to reclaim $92 first. That would weaken the bearish structure and put the next major hurdle near the 200-day average around $122.

At the moment, momentum indicators like the RSI are sitting right in the middle, suggesting the market has not yet chosen a direction. Hold $80, and Solana likely keeps grinding sideways. Lose it, and the next move could get messy fast
