Following the incredible recovery of the Solana price from less than $10 in 2022 to almost $300 by 2025, it has been pitched as a possible replacement for Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap. This was further fueled by the fact that it seemed the majority of the decentralized finance (DeFi) volume had moved from Ethereum to Solana due to the advent of the SOL meme coin season.

This flippening has yet to happen, though, with the Solana price crashing below $100 again, and Ethereum retaining its position as the second-largest cryptocurrency. Taking a possible flippening into account, this report explores how high the Solana price would go if it were to actually achieve the all-time high market cap of Ethereum.

Solana Price With Atheneum's ATH Market Cap Of $583 Billion Presently, after hitting new all-time highs back in 2025, the Ethereum all-time high market cap sits at $581 billion, compared to Solana's $160 billion. Taking this into account, SOL would have to cross the $581 billion market cap mark to completely flip Ethereum.

Using data from the MarketCapOf website, it tells how high the Solana price would need to be to reach Ethereum's all-time high market cap. It puts it at a price of $1,022, a 1,178% increase from the current price. This means that SOL is currently trading 0.8x less than the ETH price.

Grayscale debuts Avalanche staking ETF on Nasdaq under ticker GAVA Grayscale's Avalanche Staking ETF began trading on Nasdaq on Wednesday, offering spot exposure to AVAX with staking rewards.

The asset manager said Avalanche has processed more than 11.4 billion transactions since 2020, with the new fund staking AVAX to participate in the network's proof-of-stake system.

The Grayscale Avalanche Staking ETF began trading on Nasdaq on Wednesday, adding a staking-enabled product tied to the Avalanche network's native token to its lineup of exchange-traded products.

The product first launched as a private placement in August 2024 and is structured as a Delaware statutory trust, Grayscale said in its prospectus. The fund, which trades under the ticker GAVA, holds AVAX directly to provide spot exposure to the token while staking it to generate rewards through Avalanche's proof-of-stake network, the asset manager said.

Victims of a Chinese investment fraud are challenging a United Kingdom proposal to compensate them through a Chinese redress scheme, arguing the plan could leave British authorities holding much of the upside from roughly 61,000 Bitcoin seized in a money-laundering investigation.

According to the Financial Times, citing court documents, the dispute has moved into the UK High Court as groups representing victims seek to recover funds linked to the cryptocurrency seized by police in London. The Bitcoin ($BTC) haul is now worth about 3.2 billion pounds ($4.3 billion) after rising sharply in value since the assets were confiscated.

Law firm Candey, which represents about 5,700 victims, said the proposed compensation arrangement may not guarantee fair restitution. The fraud scheme itself reportedly affected more than 128,000 investors in China, according to court documents cited by the FT.

The case highlights growing legal questions around crypto seizures, where digital assets can appreciate significantly between confiscation and restitution. The dispute stems from a Chinese investment fraud scheme that ran between 2014 and 2017 and defrauded investors before proceeds were converted into $BTC and moved abroad.
