In a recent interview with Morgan Stanley, billionaire investor Stanley Druckenmiller, who is also the founder of Duquesne Capital, predicted that the global payment system will become dependent on crypto stablecoins within the next 10 to 15 years.

In support of the claims, Armstrong reacted to Druckenmiller’s prediction with a confirmation post, publicly admitting that the billionaire is right about his stablecoin forecast.

Reports on the interview revealed that the billionaire further asserted that blockchain-based assets could solve long-standing issues in payments by making transactions faster, cheaper and more productive.

The assets have also gained trust as they are not volatile, being pegged to fiat currencies such as the U.S. dollar, like Tether’s stablecoin USDT.

US inflation ticked up to 3.0% year over year in September, and futures markets still price a Federal Reserve rate cut next week.

Headline CPI printed 3.0% on the year and 0.3% on the month, while core CPI held at 3.0% year over year and 0.2% month over month. Gasoline rose 4.1% on the month and shelter inflation stayed near 3.6%. The Bureau of Labor Statistics published on schedule to meet Social Security cost-of-living timelines despite the shutdown backdrop.

Rates traders barely shifted course after the report.
CME Group's FedWatch shows futures place the probability of a 25 basis point move at the October 29 FOMC above 90%, taking the target from 3.75% to 4.00% today toward 3.50% to 3.75%.

Beyond the immediate meeting, the same FedWatch distribution puts the center of the path near 3% by this time next year.

Former U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has called bitcoin BTC$70,631.15 a “giant Ponzi scheme,” prompting a swift rebuttal from Strategy chairman Michael Saylor and other netizens.

In a column published in the Daily Mail and posted on social media platform X, Johnson wrote that he had long suspected cryptocurrencies relied on “a supply of new and credulous investors” rather than real value. He pointed to a story from his village in Oxfordshire about a retired man who handed £500 ($661) to someone in a pub who promised to double the money through bitcoin.

According to Johnson’s account, the man spent three and a half years paying fees and trying to withdraw funds. He ultimately lost about £20,000 ($ 26,450), referring to what he admitted was “some kind of scam.”

Johnson argued that assets such as gold or even collectibles like Pokémon cards hold some cultural or physical appeal. Bitcoin, he wrote, is “just a string of numbers stored in a series of computers.”

He also questioned why people should trust a system created by a pseudonymous entity, Satoshi Nakamoto, without institutional backing.

“Who do we talk to if they decrypt the crypto?” Johnson asked. “There’s no one except this Nakamoto, who may be no more real than Pikachu or Charmander themselves.”

The daily chart tells the scale of both the damage and the recovery. $TRUMP bottomed near $2.68 at the lower Bollinger Band earlier this week after months of grinding lower inside a descending channel defined by a falling resistance trendline from the October 2025 highs. Yesterday’s spike broke price above the BB midline at $3.94, the 20-day EMA at $3.35, the 50-day at $3.71, and the 100-day at $4.45 in a single session.

At press time, the upper Bollinger Band at $3.94 has flipped from resistance to support. Above that sits the 100-day EMA and the 200-day EMA at $5.94, which has capped every recovery attempt since 2025. A close above it would be the first genuine structural break in months.
