Investors initially reacted positively as Nvidia unveiled several major updates. These included the company’s next-generation Vera Rubin AI architecture, new inference chips, and the debut of DLSS 5, an AI-powered graphics technology designed to generate lighting and materials in real time for video games.

Meanwhile, Nvidia also projected a massive $1 trillion opportunity in AI infrastructure revenue through 2027.

The forecast reflects the company’s belief that demand for AI computing will accelerate as businesses deploy AI models at scale.

However, the bullish headlines failed to trigger a sustained market rally.

Part of the pullback likely reflected a classic “sell-the-news” reaction. Nvidia shares have already surged over the past two years on the back of the AI boom, meaning many investors had positioned ahead of the conference.

At the same time, analysts note that Nvidia’s trillion-dollar forecast represents long-term potential rather than near-term revenue.

As a result, investors may be waiting for clearer signals on how quickly AI spending will translate into earnings growth.

Data from Greeks.live shows that quarterly options expiring on March 27 account for over 40% of total open interest in Bitcoin. This marks one of the most concentrated expiration events in recent months.

This accumulation suggests that traders are positioning themselves for a decisive move as Bitcoin trades slightly below the highly anticipated $75,000 level.

As of press time, Bitcoin is trading at approximately $73,600, placing the market within striking distance of the key options strike price.

Bitcoin Options Positions Concentrated on March Expiration Date

The latest options data reveals a clear bullish bias. Total call options amount to approximately 284,590 BTC, while put options total 192,919 BTC, resulting in a put-call ratio of approximately 0.68.

A ratio below 1 generally indicates that traders are betting more on price increases than decreases.

More notably, the March 27th expiry date dominated the options landscape, accounting for approximately 41% of total open interest. A significant portion of this was concentrated in $75,000 call options, with individual contracts at that strike price representing over 5% of total positions.

This concentration effectively created a major derivatives battleground around the $75,000 level.

$75,000 Forms a “Gamma Wall”

Analysts at Greeks.live describe this accumulation as a “gamma wall,” a scenario where a large number of option contracts cluster near a specific strike price.

When this occurs, market makers’ hedging activities can significantly influence short-term price movements.
