Ark Labs has raised $5.2 million in a seed round backed by Tether and other investors to expand infrastructure for programmable financial applications on Bitcoin.

The funding coincides with Arkade adding support for stablecoins and digital assets — including infrastructure designed to support USDT on Bitcoin.

The round included backing from Tether USDT-0.02%

, Ego Death Capital, Epoch VC, Lion26, Sats Ventures, and Contribution Capital, with participation from Anchorage Digital, former PayPal VP of Finance Ralph Ho, and other digital asset and fintech investors, according to a statement shared with The Block. Ark Labs declined to disclose the structure of the round, when it opened and closed, and a post-money valuation.

Established in 2024, the raise brings Ark Labs' total institutional backing to more than $7.7 million, following an earlier pre-seed round supported by Draper Associates, Fulgur Ventures, and Axiom Capital.
The funding announcement also coincides with the launch of stablecoin and other digital asset support on Arkade, the company's flagship infrastructure platform designed to enable programmable transactions settled on Bitcoin.

The fresh capital will help grow Ark Labs' team from 10 to around 25 employees while expanding developer relations, product development, and partner onboarding, CEO Marco Argentieri told The Block. The company also plans to build the tooling required to "bring stablecoin and bitcoin liquidity together at production scale."

Ark Labs, a Bitcoin infrastructure startup backed by Tim Draper, has secured $5.2 million in seed funding to build a programmable financial infrastructure on the world’s largest digital asset network.

According to a Thursday statement, the round included Tether, Ego Death Capital, Epoch VC, Lion26, Sats Ventures, and Contribution Capital. Anchorage Digital and Ralph Ho, a former vice president of finance at PayPal, also participated in the seed investment.

With the latest raise, the company’s total institutional funding now stands at $7.7 million, building on a pre-seed round led by Draper through Draper Associates and supported by Fulgur Ventures, Axiom Capital, and angel investor Stephen Cole.

Ark Labs plans to use the fresh capital to expand its team, onboard ecosystem partners, and build developer tools to scale its Arkade platform.

Released in October 2025, Arkade is a programmable execution layer built on the Ark protocol that aims to transform Bitcoin into a platform for financial applications. It enables developers to create wallets, payment systems, and other services with instant transactions, batching technology, and self-custodial settlement on Bitcoin.

Tether’s involvement signals a strategic bet on Bitcoin-native infrastructure from the largest stablecoin operator in the market.

$USDT commands roughly 70% of the global stablecoin market, with a circulating supply exceeding $140 billion across multiple blockchains. The company has increasingly prioritized expanding its presence on Bitcoin’s base layer, backing similar infrastructure projects, including Utexo, to enable native $USDT capabilities on the network.

Hyperliquid price prediction: can HYPE hit a new ATH after $38 break?

Hyperliquid price rose to its highest level in over a month as it touched $38.08.

The $HYPE is up amid increased trading activity as open interest jumps to over $1.56 billion.

Technical indicators on the daily chart suggest a bullish continuation.

The Hyperliquid token climbed to a five-week high above $38 on Thursday, as renewed buying momentum strengthened the bullish push toward a potential new all-time high.

Although $HYPE had pulled back slightly from its intraday peak at the time of writing, the token was still up 17% over the past week and about 48% year-to-date.

The price move was accompanied by a sharp rise in trading activity, with 24-hour volume jumping 43% to more than $464 million.

The platform’s native token gained traction as Bitcoin held near the $70,000 level, while major altcoins also approached key technical levels.

What’s driving the $HYPE price up?

Bitcoin’s rally above $70,000 following Wednesday’s CPI data helped lift sentiment across the broader crypto market, even as geopolitical tensions continued to escalate.

Gains among major altcoins also provided momentum for smaller tokens such as Hyperliquid.

However, $HYPE appears particularly well positioned for a potential breakout as trading activity in the energy sector intensifies amid the escalating U.S.–Israel conflict with Iran.

Data from Coinglass shows that Hyperliquid’s open interest rose from $1.18 billion to more than $1.56 billion, marking a 32% increase between March 6 and March 12, 2026.

Much of this activity has been driven by traders entering futures positions as oil prices surged. Crude briefly climbed toward $120 before pulling back.

Even after the retreat, prices remain above $100, as the Strait of Hormuz blockade continues to disrupt a key global shipping route, with Iranian leaders insisting the waterway should remain closed.

While seeing the 4h chart of HYPE/USDT, the trading pattern of HYPE shows strong bullish momentum, continuing its upward trend. As the current momentum continues, HYPE could attempt a breakout around the $38 resistance level that may open the way to move toward the $40 level in the near term.
