US-based healthcare company Cosmos Health continues to expand its institutional crypto asset strategy. The company announced in a statement that it has added $600,000 worth of Bitcoin to its portfolio.

The company, which is traded on Nasdaq and has the ticker symbol COSM, announced that with this latest acquisition, the total value of its cryptocurrency assets has reached $3.1 million. Cosmos Health’s digital asset portfolio includes not only Bitcoin but also Ethereum.

Company management stated that expanding its Bitcoin position is part of its long-term financial strategy. The statement emphasized that crypto assets contribute to balance sheet diversification and create alternative investment areas while maintaining the company’s financial flexibility.

Cosmos Health stated that its investment in digital assets is carried out within the framework of a disciplined financial management approach. According to company officials, assets with limited supply, such as Bitcoin, continue to be seen as a store of value in the long term and are increasingly attracting the interest of institutional investors.

Global Giant BlackRock Makes the Long-Awaited Big Move for Ethereum (ETH)!

BlackRock, a global giant with spot Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum ($ETH) ETFs, has launched a new ETF.

Accordingly, BlackRock’s Ethereum staking ETF will begin trading on US exchanges.

BlackRock’s iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB) will begin trading on Nasdaq today.

ETHB will be the third cryptocurrency ETF launched by BlackRock.

The fund offers investors exposure to spot $ETH positions as well as the opportunity to earn staking rewards.

Furthermore, ETHB becomes the first cryptocurrency ETF to include staking functionality; ETHB will hold physical Ethereum but will stake a portion of its assets on the Ethereum network.

Speaking to Coindesk, Jay Jacobs, BlackRock’s US ETF manager, said, “Some investors who already hold Ethereum directly are staking it, but they are hesitant to move their assets to an ETF for fear of losing staking rewards. By integrating the staking function into the ETF, investors can retain the benefits of staking while also taking advantage of the operational advantages of an ETF.”

ETHB’s governance fee is 0.25%. However, BlackRock plans to reduce the fee to 0.12% during ETHB’s first year after launch, until its assets reach $2.5 billion.

Jacobs commented on the matter, saying, “This temporary discount will help us gain market share in the first few months after the ETF’s launch.”

Speaking at a House of Lords Financial Services Regulation Committee hearing on Wednesday, Deputy Governor Sarah Breeden said the central bank is open to alternative measures to manage financial stability risks tied to potential shifts from bank deposits to stablecoins.

The BOE had proposed temporary caps of £20,000 for individuals and £10 million for businesses, but officials are now reviewing feedback from the industry as part of the ongoing consultation process.

The proposed stablecoin framework would allow systemic issuers to hold deposit accounts at the BOE, with reserves split between short-term UK gilts and central bank deposits.

The bank also plans to provide policy clarity on how tokenized collateral could function under UK EMIR rules and to expand the Digital Securities Sandbox to include regulated stablecoins for wholesale settlement testing.

Despite the declines, most analysts insist that this is simply a pullback within a continuing bull market. However, Benjamin Cowen, founder of Into The Cryptoverse (ITC), disagrees, suggesting that Bitcoin has entered a full bear market.

Bitcoin has dropped 45% from its all-time high of $126,000 and is down 20.5% in 2026, currently trading around $69,500.

Despite the downturn, most analysts believe Bitcoin is facing a drawdown within a bull market, but Benjamin Cowen disagrees.

According to Cowen, during bear markets, Bitcoin typically spends more time trending upward, but when it drops within a short period, the drop is more powerful.

From the November 2025 low, Bitcoin climbed 21.6% over 54 days before crashing 38.8% in just 23 days to a new low in February 2026.

Cowen identified late March to April as the typical window of weakness for Bitcoin in midterm years, suggesting the current rally will likely break down within the next couple of months.

February lows in past bear market cycles never marked the macro bottom, and Cowen believes the same could be true for the current $59,930 February 2026 low.

Analyst Explains Why Bitcoin Price Hasn't Bottomed

In an X post, Leshka noted that the Bitcoin price has never bottomed after a drawdown of just 47%. He further remarked that every bear market in history saw at least 78% drawdown from the top. $BTC notably saw drawdowns of around 87%; 84%; and 73% in 2013, 2017, and 2021, respectively.

As such, the analyst declared that the Bitcoin price is not yet at a bottom and that another flush to the downside is approaching. His accompanying chart showed that $BTC could still drop to around $50,000 before it finds a macro bottom in this market cycle. Leshka noted that the leading crypto continues to retest the $72,000 resistance and has failed to hold above it on every attempt. Based on this, he predicted that a drop to $55,000 is next. Crypto analyst Doctor Profit also recently warned that the Bitcoin price hasn't found a macro bottom, though he predicted that $BTC could form a local bottom between $57,000 and $60,000. In the long term, he still expects Bitcoin to drop below $50,000 and into the low $40,000, which he believes will mark the macro bottom.

Bitcoin is doing its best impression of a sleeping giant. The asset has barely moved over the past 24 hours, hovering near $70K with a gain of just 0.1%, while the broader market mood sits deep in “Extreme Fear” territory.

Meanwhile, Hyperliquid’s $HYPE token is on a quiet tear, hitting fresh all-time highs against $BTC and making the kind of move that gets noticed only after it’s already happened.

The numbers behind Bitcoin’s calm surface

On the surface, Bitcoin looks stable. Look a little deeper and the picture gets more interesting.

$BTC’s 24-hour change of +0.1% masks a rougher week. Over seven days, it’s down 3.2%, suggesting the current “hold” is more like controlled bleeding than genuine consolidation.

The Fear & Greed Index reads 18, firmly planted in Extreme Fear. Last week it was 22. In English: sentiment has actually gotten worse, even as price stays flat. That’s the kind of divergence that tends to resolve itself, one way or another.

Ethereum managed a slightly better showing, climbing past the $2,000 mark with a 1.0% daily gain. Solana added 1.3% to trade near $87. Neither move qualifies as exciting, but at least they’re green.

For context, a Fear & Greed reading of 18 is in the same neighborhood as readings from the FTX collapse era in late 2022 and the depths of the 2020 COVID crash. The market isn’t just nervous. It’s approaching historically pessimistic levels while Bitcoin sits near what most would consider a healthy price.

That disconnect — high fear at relatively high prices — is unusual. It typically means traders are bracing for something specific rather than reacting to what’s already happened.
