Jordi Visser, a 30-Year Analyst, Explains the Event That Could Trigger a “Super Cycle” in Bitcoin

Appearing as a guest on Anthony Pompliano’s podcast, Jordi Visser, founder of Visser Labs, offered a striking projection of the global economy and cryptocurrency markets.

According to Visser, the risk of contagion similar to the 2008 financial crisis is looming in the financial world, and this could create a “supercycle” that serves Bitcoin’s original purpose.

Visser stated that the private credit market, worth approximately $4 trillion, carries a greater systemic risk than commonly believed. Arguing that restrictions on traditional banking (such as Dodd-Frank) have caused debt to shift to “off-balance sheet” areas and opaque private markets, Visser said:

“We are in a K-type economy where lower income groups are struggling. We will see who is who when liquidity starts to be drawn from the private credit market. Financial stocks have already fallen below their 200-day moving averages; this is usually the beginning of bad things.”

Visser compared the current situation to the 1998 Russian crisis and the 2008 Great Financial Crisis. He noted that rising oil prices and inflationary pressures are putting central banks in a tight spot, and pointed out that historically, Bitcoin’s biggest surges have occurred immediately following financial shocks.

According to Visser, investors will turn to Bitcoin as they shy away from “illiquid” and “non-transparent” assets like private loans and real estate. While the “doors closing” in the private loan market traps investors, Bitcoin offers 24/7 liquidity and complete transparency through the blockchain.

Visser predicts that in the event of a breakdown in the financial system, central banks will be forced to establish liquidity facilities, and argues that this monetary expansion will be “fuel” for Bitcoin.

Gareth Soloway Reveals Next Bull Price Targets For Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP
Gareth Soloway, chief market strategist at VerifiedInvesting.com, is doubling down on his short-term bullish thesis for crypto, and the charts he is looking at are telling a story that most of the market is missing. While the S&P 500 slides, Bitcoin is green. That divergence, he says, is the most important signal in the market right now.
Bitcoin: One Level Away From $80,000 to $85,000
Bitcoin is pushing higher and Soloway says the structure is clean. The important level sitting between today’s price and his target zone is $74,000.
“We’ve broken out,” he said. “We had our high pivot, retraced to support, and now we’re testing the next level. Once we break through $74,000, the upside move takes you to $80,000 to $85,000.”
The bullish case is built on a textbook pattern. A green reversal candle formed weeks ago and not a single candle has closed below its low since. That inside bar action, Soloway explains, is a classic setup that precedes breakouts rather than breakdowns.
What makes the setup more convincing is what Bitcoin is doing relative to everything else. Since February 25, the S&P 500 is down 4.45%. Bitcoin over the same period is up 12%. It is also outperforming gold and silver. Soloway calls this relative strength the breadcrumb trail pointing toward further upside.
Ethereum: Break Above $2,150 Opens Door to $2,600
Ethereum has not broken out yet but Soloway says it is hammering on the door. The key level is $2,150. ETH has pierced it twice already and is pressing against it again.
“If we can get a daily close above $2,150 and then confirm, look out above,” he said. “The target would be $2,600.”

XRP is trading around $1.41 and Soloway sees a clear short-term bullish structure forming. His upside target sits at approximately $1.80, ...

Strategy On Track to Surpass Satoshi's Estimated Bitcoin Stash by 2027 Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, could eventually surpass the legendary holdings attributed to Satoshi Nakamoto, according to analysis shared by crypto commentator Lark Davis.

Davis noted that Strategy already ranks among the four largest known holders of Bitcoin, alongside Satoshi Nakamoto, BlackRock, and Coinbase. The analyst pointed to the firm's aggressive purchasing pace, estimating that its financing structure enables it to absorb roughly 1,940 BTC per day on average, with peak accumulation days reaching around 5,700 BTC.

If that pace continues and market conditions remain favorable, Davis argues that Strategy could surpass Satoshi's estimated holdings by March 2027.

Strategy currently holds approximately 738,731 BTC, making it the largest corporate Bitcoin holder globally. The total position was accumulated at a cost of roughly $51 billion, implying an average acquisition price of $69,000 per coin. At recent market levels, the holdings are valued in the tens of billions of dollars.

Crypto broker Bitpanda bets on banks and tokenization to expand globally ahead of IPO plans
Vienna, Austria-based crypto broker Bitpanda is leaning into a strategy it has been quietly building for years: keep its retail business anchored in Europe while expanding globally by supplying crypto infrastructure to banks and financial firms.

The company’s next phase of growth will focus less on raw user numbers and more on geographic reach, Vishal Sacheendran, vice president of global markets strategy and operations, told CoinDesk in an interview.

"It’s about having a footprint in more markets," Sacheendran said.

That expansion is building on its steady growth. The company, which boasts more than 7 million users, reported this week €371 million ($430 million) in adjusted revenue for 2025, up 16% from the previous year, while its registered user base increased 25% to 7.4 million.

The firm is also weighing a public listing. Bitpanda is reportedly preparing for a potential IPO on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange as early as the first half of 2026, targeting a valuation between EUR 4 billion and EUR 5 billion. The plan comes as multiple crypto exchanges and infrastructure firms have either gone public or are planning to do so.

Bringing crypto to banks

The exchange spent the past decade largely focused on the European Union, where its app allows retail users to trade cryptocurrencies and other assets. But outside Europe, Sacheendran said the strategy needs to change. In some markets — especially smaller ones or those already dominated by global exchanges — launching a consumer app may not make sense.

Instead, Bitpanda wants to work through banks and financial institutions that already have distribution. "We don’t want to compete with exchanges everywhere," he said. "There’s a big segment of the market that still trusts banks."
