Cryptocurrency analytics company Santiment has highlighted the relationship between $USDT address activity on $BNB Chain and the Bitcoin price. According to the on-chain data shared by the company, sudden increases in active $USDT addresses on the $BNB Chain network have often resulted in a recovery in the Bitcoin price in the past.

According to an analysis shared on social media by Santiment, the number of active $USDT addresses on $BNB Chain has experienced three major surges in the past year, with Bitcoin prices rising again during each of these periods. The analysis suggests that stablecoin activity can provide important signals about market liquidity and investor behavior.

According to the research, Tether is used as the primary unit of account for many trading platforms in the cryptocurrency market. On the other hand, $BNB Chain is one of the most heavily used networks in terms of daily trading volume. Therefore, significant increases in the number of active addresses can be observed when investors transfer funds between wallets and exchanges.

According to Santiment, the increase in the number of active addresses indicates an increase in liquidity ready to be traded in the market. It is stated that if these funds shift from stablecoins to Bitcoin, buying pressure could strengthen, potentially triggering a recovery in the Bitcoin price.

Dubai gold experienced a rare "negative premium" last week.

Due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, many Dubai gold traders, unable to guarantee timely delivery and to avoid indefinitely incurring storage and financing costs, are selling off their inventory at a wholesale price $30 per ounce lower than the London benchmark price.

While this negative premium is primarily concentrated at the wholesale level and has not yet affected retail gold prices, it is almost unheard of in normal markets. Gold is traditionally considered one of the most liquid physical assets globally; theoretically, as long as a significant price difference exists, arbitrage funds will quickly move it to markets with higher prices, eliminating any price discrepancies.

However, this time, the arbitrage channel has been abruptly cut off by the real world.

 This easily evokes memories of the negative oil prices of 2020, with the underlying logic being identical: when the delivery of physical assets incurs high transportation, insurance, and storage costs, and faces significant uncertainty, a misalignment arises between the "paper price" and the "actual value."

In other words, gold is just one aspect; the underlying issue is a problem with the entire asset flow channel. This also means that Dubai, as a global offshore financial center, is facing a functional stress test.

JPMorgan’s Report Will Disappoint Gold Investors! “There’s a Sharp Difference Between Bitcoin and Gold!”

Bitcoin ($BTC) and gold continue to move in opposite directions. In this context, JPMorgan has revealed the latest data between $BTC and gold and the sharp divergence between them.

US banking giant JPMorgan stated that $BTC and gold ETFs have seen opposing flows since the US-Iran war.

According to The Block, JPMorgan analysts have noted a significant contrast in Bitcoin and gold ETF flows since the start of the conflict in Iran.

JPMorgan analysts led by Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou stated in their latest report that SPDR Gold Shares (GLD), the largest gold ETF, has experienced outflows equivalent to approximately 2.7% of its holdings since the war. In contrast, BlackRock iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), the largest spot Bitcoin ETF, recorded inflows equivalent to approximately 1.5% of its holdings during the same period.

Analysts noted that this significant divergence stemmed from investors shifting their positions between the two assets.

“We are seeing investors rebalancing their positions between gold and Bitcoin.”

Analysts also added that there are signs that Bitcoin’s volatility is gradually decreasing as institutional investment increases and market liquidity improves.
