✅ Contract Deletion Mechanism Restructuring

1/ A contract will only be permanently deleted from the chain when its creation and execution occur within the same transaction.

2/ In all other scenarios, SELFDESTRUCT will only transfer assets within the contract to the target address; the contract itself will not be deleted, preserving its on-chain state.

✅ Execution Cost Optimization

1/ The energy consumption of SELFDESTRUCT will be adjusted from the current 0 to 5000, achieving more reasonable resource pricing.


 📖Proposal Significance

This adjustment will significantly improve smart contract compatibility between the TRON network and the Ethereum ecosystem, providing cross-chain developers with a more consistent and predictable execution environment. Simultaneously, the new mechanism effectively avoids the state cleanup risks that historical SELFDESTRUCT might have caused, further enhancing network security and stability.

New regulatory filings show that several major Wall Street institutions have begun accumulating XRP through spot ETFs. 

These products have already attracted more than $1.2 billion in cumulative inflows, highlighting sustained investor demand despite recent market volatility.

In total, the filings reveal over $210 million in XRP ETF exposure across the top 30 institutions. Interestingly, Goldman Sachs accounts for the majority of the disclosed capital. 
The development has sparked discussions within the XRP community. Some proponents interpret the move as Wall Street quietly building exposure to the fifth-largest cryptocurrency through regulated investment vehicles. 

Key Points 

New regulatory filings show that over 30 institutions hold positions in XRP ETFs worth $210 million.

Goldman Sachs leads the group with $153.81 million in exposure, equivalent to about 83.63 million XRP tokens.

Other notable participants include Millennium Management, Logan Stone Capital, Jane Street, and DRW Securities, each holding millions of dollars in XRP ETF exposure.

Total XRP ETF assets stand at about $967 million, while cumulative inflows have reached $1.21 billion.

A Singapore court has ruled to sentence a man to two years in jail for involvement in a crypto theft that led to the loss of assets estimated at over $6.9 million.

The case initiated with an incident in which hackers had unauthorised access to a crypto wallet and transferred digital assets out of it without the consent of the owner. The officials mentioned that the claimant was part of a group that aided in easing the crypto theft after the compromised account was accessed via computer system.

Investigations noted that the operation included various individuals who exploited access to a platform linked to a global cryptocurrency exchange. Once the account was violated, cryptocurrencies worth around US$6.9 million, equal to around $8.8 million, were transferred out of the wallet.

Part of Stolen Funds Got Recovered

The Cybercrime Command of Singapore introduced an investigation after getting a report regarding various instances of unauthorised access to the wallet. After some time, officers recognised suspects associated with the incident and carried out arrests within days of the complaint being filed.

Robert Mitchnick, Head of Digital Assets at BlackRock, the world’s largest asset management company, made exclusive statements about the company’s new staking-backed Ethereum ETF (ETHB). Mitchnick stated that this new product is a “golden key” for institutional investors.

Mitchnick, highlighting the fundamental differences between Bitcoin and Ethereum, stated that Bitcoin is positioned as “digital gold” and an alternative currency, while Ethereum is a technology-focused investment based on blockchain innovation. He noted that ETHB offers investors the opportunity to share not only in price increases but also in the economic functioning of the network (staking).

Mitchnick, noting that the launch of Bitcoin ETFs (IBITs) has provided a great convenience for investors, said, “An Ethereum ETF with added staking features becomes a clear solution that allows investors to access Ethereum in the easiest and most cost-effective way.”

Mitchnick noted that despite the volatility in the crypto markets, ETF investors have a long-term perspective, pointing out that even when the Bitcoin price fell by nearly 50% from its peak, inflows into IBIT (BlackRock Bitcoin ETF) remained positive. According to 2025 data, IBIT was the only fund among the top 20 most injected ETFs worldwide that appeared on the list despite negative returns.

Mitchnick stated that approximately 90% of ETF investors consist of financial advisors, individual investors, and institutional funds, and that this group tends to accumulate by “buying at the dip.” He added that the remaining 10% are generally hedge funds that arbitrage with futures contracts.

When asked about BlackRock’s appetite for other crypto assets, Mitchnick said that Bitcoin (60% market share) and Ethereum

A short-term relief rally toward the 20 EMA at $2.00 and the 50 EMA at $1.80 could play out in the coming weeks, but this move could be a temporary rebound.

If XRP fails to break and hold above $2.4, the deeper correction toward $0.7 to $0.8 remains the most likely outcome through the summer months.
