XRP is going through its longest run of price declines in nearly ten years, having recorded five straight months of losses for the first time since late 2016 to early 2017. The price has dropped 50% during the current period and now trades at $1.4, as retail sentiment turns sour.

Despite this, XRP’s Sharpe Ratio and Sharpe Z-Score indicators have seen impressive upticks in recent times, suggesting that risk-adjusted sentiments may be improving across the board.

XRP has recorded five consecutive months of price losses for the first time since 2016 to 2017, shedding 50% of its value to currently trade at $1.4.

Despite the ongoing price decline, data shows the Sharpe Z-Score has risen to 1.62, its highest reading since last July, as risk-adjusted performance improves.

The 7-day momentum has turned positive, and the 30-day Sharpe Ratio stands at 0.098, both moving in a direction that suggests early stabilization.

XRP still trades below its 200-day moving average of $2.19, and would need to gain 56% just to retest that level.

The price of Pi Network has been climbing steadily in recent weeks, bringing the token back into the spotlight as the community approaches the annual Pi Day event on March 14. Former New York mayor Eric Adams’ new NYC token fell more than 81% within about 30 minutes of its Jan. 12 launch on Solana, wiping out roughly $500 million in peak paper value.

The token briefly reached an estimated market cap of $540 million–$600 million.

Adams unveiled the project at a Times Square event about 12 days after leaving office and tied the token to funding blockchain education and combating antisemitism.

The launch was promoted through his verified X account and later annotated by X Community Notes with a “rug pull” warning.

Adams framed the venture as part of an effort to counter antisemitism.

On-chain investigators quickly focused on liquidity movements and concentration risks.

According to Bubblemaps, a wallet connected to the deployer created a one-sided liquidity pool on Meteora and removed roughly $2.5 million in USDC near peak pricing.

The Ethereum developer community is in the midst of one of its most intense technical debates in recent months: how to implement native account abstraction at the protocol level. During the planning of the upcoming hard fork, named Hegota, at least four new Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) have emerged in recent weeks. Among them, EIP-8141, known as Frame Transactions, received public backing from Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum.

Buterin weighed in in response to a thread posted by Derek Chiang of ZeroDev, where the two competing approaches were compared. In his words, Frame Transactions could cover a wide range of use cases oriented toward privacy and censorship resistance, while also considerably simplifying wallet architecture.

Frame and Tempo Transactions

Frame Transactions proposes a model that removes the signature fields embedded in the traditional transaction format. Instead, authorization logic is delegated to smart contracts through a new opcode called APPROVE. This design allows for multi-signature systems, alternative cryptographic schemes, and conditional gas sponsorship mechanisms, where external contracts cover network fees in exchange for token transfers.
