PayPal expanding PYUSD stablecoin access to 70 countries: Report



PayPal is expanding access to its stablecoin $PYUSD to 70 countries, including regions across South America, Africa, and Asia, whereas previously only users in the US and UK could hold it, Fortune reported Tuesday.

Users can now send, receive, and store $PYUSD while also earning rewards, with US users receiving around 4% annually.

This move reduces high cross-border fees, allows users to keep funds in a USD-pegged asset instead of converting to local currencies, and introduces wallet balance functionality in countries where funds previously had to be withdrawn immediately.

$PYUSD supports cross-border payments such as transfers from the US to Peru, enables holding digital dollar balances in emerging markets, and is used for business payouts and internal transfers.

Since its 2023 launch, $PYUSD’s market cap has grown from a small base to $4.1 billion and is now the seventh-largest stablecoin in the world, CoinGecko data shows.

Predictions for when the Dogecoin price will cross $1 continue to flood the crypto community despite the meme coin struggling to hold above $0.1. The poor performance over the last few years has not done much damage to the bullish expectations among DOGE investors, suggesting a longer-term bullish outlook. As for when the Dogecoin price can climb above $1 and reach as high as $1.70, a crypto analyst has shared their own views and expectations.

Dogecoin Price To Reach $1.7 In Q4 2026
In an X (formerly Twitter) post, crypto analyst Celal Kucuker shared a very simple outlook for the Dogecoin price. This outlook takes into account the previous performances and then shares the expectations for when the cryptocurrency will move upward again.

Out of the six price points shared, the first three highlighted major price levels that Dogecoin has already surpassed. This included the $0.12, $0.3, and then the $0.7 target that was met back in 2021. This then leaves three other price targets, which the crypto analyst believes will be hit in 2026.

The next target on the list is $0.2, which would be the start of another recovery trend. From the current level that Dogecoin is trading at the time of this writing, the meme coin would have to complete an over 100% increase in price to reach this target.

Next comes the crash to $0.05 that would seemingly send the Dogecoin price toward its next bottom. Hitting this level would mean setting a new 5-year low as Dogecoin price hasn’t been this low since 2020. However, according to the analyst, it’s part of the trend.

The law enforcement agencies from three countries have started Operation Atlantic, an organized effort to disrupt crypto-related scams, dismantle fraud networks, and boost cross-border operations to target unlawful conduct in the digital asset space.

On March 16, the National Crime Agency (NCA) reported on Operation Atlantic, stating that it was a joint effort by law enforcement agencies from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

As per the report, the agencies such as the U.S. Secret Service, the U.K. National Crime Agency, Canada’s Ontario Provincial Police, the Ontario Securities Commission, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the City of London Police, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, and the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority are participating.

The Operation Atlantic’s main objective is to disrupt the organized fraud schemes, reclaim stolen money, help victims protect assets to prevent further loss, and increase public awareness of crypto investment frauds.

The operation also targets people who have lost or are in danger of losing cryptos through a method called “approval phishing,” which is usually connected to online investment scams, also called “pig butchering,” in which victims are gradually tricked into sending large amounts of money to fraudsters over time.

Then, the United States Secret Service agency noted, “Approval phishing and investment scams cost victims millions in financial loss each year,” said Brent Daniels, the Deputy Assistant Director for the U.S. Secret Service’s Office of Field Operations. Further, stating that the primary objective of Operation Atlantic is for the US Secret Service and its international law enforcement partners to quickly detect and stop these scams.
