Bitcoin is consolidating a week-long rally in an environment of sharply reduced leverage, minimal liquidations, and weekend trading volumes that have fallen more than 50% from midweek peaks.
Bitcoin (BTC) is pausing after a meaningful advance, with buyers and sellers reaching equilibrium within a tight range. Over the past seven days, BTC climbed approximately 6.79%, yet the last 24 hours showed only 0.85% movement, reflecting the shift from trending to consolidation. The total crypto market cap rose from roughly $2.29 trillion to $2.43 trillion during the rally before flattening in recent sessions, confirming that the primary impulse move has already occurred.

BTC dominance edged up marginally from about 58.1% to 58.8% over the same period, indicating no strong rotation either into or out of Bitcoin in the very short term. This stability in market share reinforces the balanced nature of current flows. After a strong week, Bitcoin has entered a cooling phase where incremental buying and selling roughly offset each other, causing price to oscillate in a narrow band rather than establishing a new directional trend.

Derivatives positioning reveals a clear cooling of speculative pressure, which typically compresses short-term volatility and reduces the likelihood of sharp moves. Global crypto derivatives open interest, including Bitcoin, currently sits at approximately $376 billion compared with above $404 billion at recent highs just days ago. Perpetuals open interest has similarly rolled lower, reflecting reduced speculative positioning across the board.

The 24-hour Bitcoin liquidation value stands at only $8.32 million, a stark contrast to nearly $700 million over the past seven days. Daily liquidations have dropped more than 90% from the prior day, signaling the absence of forced unwind events that typically drive large price candles.

Cryptocurrency prediction markets are projecting minimal growth for $XRP by the end of March, with the price likely to remain below $2.

In this line, Polymarket prediction market activity points to a moderate outlook for $XRP, with traders assigning the highest probability to the token trading around $1.60, according to data retrieved on March 14.

Notably, the $1.60 level carries the largest probability at 41%, indicating that participants view it as the most likely price zone for $XRP at the end of March.

The next most probable outcome places the token at $1.20, which holds a 29% chance. Other outcomes carry significantly lower probabilities, with a move to $1.80 is assigned a 12% likelihood, while the chances of $XRP trading at $1 stand at 10%.

More extreme outcomes on either side of the spectrum remain unlikely, according to the market.

On the other hand, the probability of $XRP reaching $2 is about 5%, while $2.20 holds a 3% chance. Higher price levels, such as $2.40, $2.60, $2.80, $3.00, and $3.20 each, carry roughly a 1% probability.

On the downside, the market has assigned limited chances to deeper declines. A drop to $0.80 holds about a 4% probability, while $0.60 and $0.40 each sit near 1%. The likelihood of $XRP falling to $0.20 is estimated at below 1%.
