In a notable development in the cryptocurrency market, a significant amount of Bitcoin has flowed out of exchanges in the past week. Analysts note that large outflows of $BTC from exchanges generally indicate that investors are moving their assets to cold wallets for long-term storage. According to Sentora, recent data suggests that Bitcoin continues to be accumulated by institutional custody services as well as individual investors.

In the crypto market, asset outflows from exchanges are often seen as a positive signal that selling pressure may be easing. This is because investors may prefer to hold their assets for longer periods by moving them to secure wallets outside of exchanges, rather than engaging in short-term trading.

According to the data, Bitcoin’s price has also risen in the last 24 hours. Market data shows that $BTC is trading at approximately $73,503 at the time of publication, having gained 4.71% on a daily basis.

Experts say that renewed interest in the market, particularly from institutional investors, could support a recovery in Bitcoin’s price. Accumulations made through institutional custody services are considered part of long-term investment strategies.

The recent downward trend in Bitcoin reserves on exchanges also supports this view. Analysts note that the continued net outflows from exchanges could reduce the supply in the market and, if demand remains strong, could put upward pressure on the price.

According to data shared by the crypto data and analytics platform Unfolded, Solana-based stablecoin transaction volume reached a total of $650 billion in February, hitting an all-time high.

According to the report, one of the most important factors behind this strong growth was the increase in demand for on-chain payments. The growing shift of users towards blockchain-based payment solutions contributed to the rapid increase in stablecoin transfers.

Stablecoins are generally known as digital assets pegged to traditional currencies such as the US dollar. These assets are widely used in the cryptocurrency market for transactions, money transfers, and providing liquidity in decentralized finance applications. Major stablecoins, such as USDC and Tether, in particular, generate high transaction volumes across different blockchain networks.

According to experts, the Solana network’s high transaction capacity and low transaction fees offer an attractive environment for stablecoin transfers. These features contribute to both individual users and application developers preferring the network.

The recent proliferation of decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, payment platforms, and on-chain trading services is also cited as a significant factor in the increased use of stablecoins.

down SocksEscort network tied to crypto fraud US and European authorities said Thursday they had disrupted SocksEscort, a malicious proxy service used by cybercriminals to hide their identities while carrying out fraud, including cryptocurrency account takeovers.

The DOJ said the service compromised at least 369,000 routers and other internet-connected devices in 163 countries, giving cybercriminals control over proxies that hid their true IP addresses.

The platform reportedly enabled crimes, including bank fraud and cryptocurrency account takeovers, since 2020. In one case cited by prosecutors, a victim in New York lost roughly $1 million in cryptocurrency.

Authorities said they seized 34 domains, disrupted about two dozen servers across seven countries and froze about $3.5 million in cryptocurrency linked to the operation.

The network received at least $5.7 million from users

To access the proxy service, customers used a payment platform that allowed them to purchase it anonymously with cryptocurrency, according to a statement by Europol.

Investigators estimate that SocksEscort received at least 5 million euros ($5.7 million) from its users.

"Proxy services like 'SocksEscort' provide criminals with the digital cover they need to launch attacks, distribute illegal content and evade detection," Europol Executive Director Catherine De Bolle said.

Bitcoin’s recent price behavior is evidence of growing influence from the derivatives market, rather than pure spot demand. At press time, Bitcoin [BTC] was trading at around $71,500, positioning the asset within a dense cluster of Options exposure ahead of a $1.89 billion Options expiry.

This setup matters because large derivative positions often shape short-term price direction through hedging flows.

Calls were concentrated near $71,570 and $72,000, where roughly 2,292 contracts formed a visible upside barrier. Meanwhile, puts gathered between $70,500 and $71,500 and created a defensive support band under the price.

As these positions expanded, market makers hedged gamma exposure, gradually compressing volatility around this corridor.

Ethereum Foundation publishes new mandate defining its role, core principles
The Ethereum Foundation (EF) released a sweeping new document outlining its philosophy, priorities and long-term role in stewarding the world’s second-largest blockchain network.

The 38-page “EF Mandate,” published Friday, frames the blockchain, whose ether (ETH) token is beaten only by bitcoin BTC$71,859.13 in market capitalization, as a technology designed to protect individual freedom in an increasingly centralized digital world and lays out the principles the nonprofit says must guide its development.

The document comes at a time of transition for the organization, following recent shifts in Ethereum’s technical roadmap and the resignation earlier this year of one of the foundation’s co-executive directors.

"The Ethereum Foundation is the original steward of the Ethereum project,” the document says. “The Foundation is not the parent, owner, or ruler of Ethereum. We are not ‘the system’ itself.”

At the center of the mandate is the concept of self-sovereignty, which the foundation describes as Ethereum’s core purpose.

“The first aim is to ensure Ethereum becomes and stays a decentralized and resilient tool for self-sovereignty,” the manifesto states. “Our first fundamental principle is that a user has the final say over their identities, assets, actions, and agents.”

To preserve that goal, the foundation says four properties must remain central to Ethereum’s development: censorship resistance, open source and free (as in freedom), privacy, and security, collectively known as CROPS.

“We hold that these properties – CROPS – must remain, as an indivisible whole, the sine qua non of all Ethereum’s development priorities, which cannot be displaced,” the mandate says.

The foundation also said it will measure its own long-term success by how unnecessary it becomes. For the time being, it will focus on work that no other ecosystem participants are likely to
