The Ethereum Foundation has completed a new ETH sale to support its ongoing development efforts. In an X post on March 14, the organization announced that it was offloading 5,000 ETH, worth approximately $10 million, at an average price of $2,042.96 through an over-the-counter (OTC) transaction. The buyer in this deal is Bitmine, a publicly traded Bitcoin mining company that operates under the ticker BMNR.

According to the Ethereum Foundation, the ETH transaction was confirmed on-chain through the organization’s Safe multisig wallet at address: 0x9fC3dc011b461664c835F2527fffb1169b3C213e. The sale represents part of the foundation’s broader treasury management strategy, which is guided by detailed policies published in 2025.

The Ethereum Foundation has also stated that the funds raised from the sale will be used for its core operations and activities. These include protocol research and development, ecosystem management, and community grant funding. Bitmine’s involvement as an OTC counterparty highlights a growing network of institutional buyers interested in participating in the Ethereum ecosystem. The company has continued to buy ETH even during volatile market conditions.

Notably, the move also follows a series of previous ETH sales by the organization, demonstrating a structured approach toward funding its operational and developmental priorities. Authorities in Argentina have ordered a nationwide block on the prediction market platform Polymarket following a ruling by Buenos Aires Judge Susana Parada on March 16, reporting from Clarín indicates.

Argentina’s ENACOM, which oversees telecoms, broadcasting, internet, radio, and postal services, is tasked with implementing the national measure through ISPs and app stores, preventing access to the platform on both Android and iOS.

The decision follows Polymarket’s accurate prediction of February inflation data ahead of INDEC’s publication, which has drawn scrutiny from authorities and journalists.

Data analysis highlighted small but unusually timed wagers from accounts that normally trade minimal amounts, raising suspicions of insider activity.

According to Clarín, complaints from LOTBA (Buenos Aires City’s lottery authority) and CASCBA (the national gambling industry association), supported by investigations by FEJA (the city’s gambling prosecutor) and CIJ (the technical investigative branch of the Public Prosecutor’s Office), found that the platform operated as an unauthorized online betting system.

The court highlighted that Polymarket allowed easy account creation, accepted crypto assets and credit cards, and lacked age verification, increasing risks for minors.

While some praise the move as protecting users, critics warn it may limit access to global prediction tools, making Argentina the second Latin American country to impose a full ban.

Colombia became the first country in Latin America to ban Polymarket after its gambling regulator, Coljuegos, declared the platform illegal to operate without a license in September 2025 and instructed ISPs to block access.

Pi Network has officially opened its second migration phase, letting Pioneers who already moved their first Pi balance to Mainnet bring additional tokens on-chain. When Pi Network launched its Open Network in February 2025, Pioneers were able to transfer their first batch of transferable Pi to Mainnet. That was the first migration. Now, the second migration allows tokens that weren’t part of the initial transfer—like accumulated mining rewards and referral bonuses—to finally move on-chain.
This is a key development for the Pi ecosystem: more tokens on Mainnet means more activity—payments, DEX trading, and participation in the newly launched Pi Launchpad. Pioneers holding additional balances off-chain now have a clear path to fully join the ecosystem.
The rollout is gradual by design, following Pi Network’s phased release strategy to avoid flooding the market or straining infrastructure.
Important requirement: Before processing any migration, Pioneers must have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled on their Pi Wallet via Step 5 of the Mainnet Checklist. This may include adding a trusted email if not already linked.
